How can anyone defend these coaches?

Good teams find a way to beat the bad ones. That's how we tell them apart. No, this win was not a thing of beauty, but this is the NFL. You take wins any way you can get them. And believe me, the talent level on the Vikings is not 1-7.

Beat a team with a winning record. They haven't done it. News Flash *IF* they get to the playoffs you will have to beat teams with a winning record and they haven't proven they can. Until then they are losers against teams who are winners

Our run defense isn't great esp over LDE the last time I looked. You are really putting pressure on the secondary to come up and tackle. But of course any team is pressured if they have to play the run first. It opens up the passing game greatly. And we have a very hard time defending the pass. I knew this was going to be a tough game for us and said AD was going to get the ball and we'd have trouble stopping him. That's not rocket science. Our defense doesn't do a lot well although they have been decent at creating turnovers.

Let me put it this way:

I'd much rather try to stop Adrian Peterson on the ground than Calvin Johnson through the air.

I think our run D has been pretty solid, all things considered.

Gotta run now... wish I could keep discussing this with you guys. Have fun telling each other how miserable we are :) You have a 1st place team at the moment.

Jerruh loves you...keep making him rich...

Ding! Ding! Ding!

We have a winner!

In case some of you don't know what one looks like.

Don't good teams find ways to beat the good ones, too?

Great teams do. The Cowboys aren't a great team. They're good.

I just have a hard time understanding the negativity. The Cowboys won. Let's not worry about who it was against, or by how much. This isn't the BCS.

I see what this thread is good for...loading up the ignore list again.

I don't see anything to make me think they are good. I think they're spectacularly mediocre, and I don't accept mediocrity in my own life, so why should I make a habit of it with this team?

Good... Maybe there should be more whiners. This isn't a Pom Pom shaking win and anyone who thinks otherwise is living in a delusional reality

Yes, there should be more whiners.

I see all this moaning and complaing has really changed things.

No, in short, your just a complainer living in some delusional world because you can't accept what really happened.

I'm glad we won but my gosh we are poorly coached.

It's so sad that we're wasting so many players careers.

they basically just changed out the coaching staff. Whats next..blame water boy? How about putting accountability where it belongs with players.

Thanks for the unneeded permission.

And live it up in mediocrity.

Tell all your friends.

Tell you what. You take a last place pass defense and try to win in this league esp when you have to play someone like AD. There's a reason we make ordinary QBs look good and great ones greater. Throw in a suspect run defense and you have to play near perfect offense to win. If you think most are happy with the performances we are seeing think again. We just don't have to vent our frustration constantly or not be able to see some positives along with the negatives. We can also enjoy an ugly win without looking for the nearest bridge. Yes, there was a lot of suckage out there today and its not unexpected with a sand lot defense put together with bailing wire and duct tape. Kick your shoes off, light up a stogie and have your favorite beverage. The offense is going to have to carry the defense the rest of the way this year.

I completely understand your point. But the Cowboys are 5-4 without their starting right guard, one starting receiver (though Miles Austin's value to this team now is highly questionable at best), six of their defensive linemen weren't on the roster when camp opened, and they were playing two undrafted rookies at safety at times today.

I hate to use injuries to justify things, but the fact the Cowboys are atop the NFC East is pretty amazing if you consider all of that.
