How can anyone defend these coaches?

It's not the coaching, because it's not the coaching.

Forgive me, Clove, but some of you guys really don't have a lot of credibility here when it comes to what's actually wrong with this team. That's what happens when first it's the QB, then it's the OL, then it's the DL depth, then it's the coaching. At some point, the law of averages says that group is eventually going to be right. What they really should begin with, though, if they're looking to complain about something, are the things that have actual limitations under Garrett which he's been unable to address. adequately. They've pretty much been the same things the whole time.

And Jerry Jones isn't necessarily my boy. I've been plenty critical of Jerry Jones over the years, because he's a mixed bag. You've got me confused with someone else. I'll defend him like I'd defend anybody against thoughtless criticisms, but there's plenty of legitimate criticism of Jerry Jones.

Yeah, like you're the epitome of 'credibility' around here defending this mediocre team. Offensive to read that statement.

Which excuses do we still have for Garrett after 3 plus years?

Please enlighten us and tell us what's left?

He, along with his supporters, are all out of excuses.

Nothing left to change except the front office and coaches.

And since ownership won't fire themselves, all that leaves are the coaches.

Everette Brown.

If you dig it up, I advocated signing him two years ago when Carolina first released him.

I'll just wait for it to be over, and then hope it's disappointing enough for real change to occur.

Sad as that sounds.

That DOES sound sad.

You ever heard of the healing power of laughter?

We need a coach like Jimmy Johnson to lead us from this wasteland we are stuck in, where shall we find such a leader?

I used some actually.

Shook my head and laughed after this big win.

Out of fear that it might keep these guys around another year.

My credibility is intact, and my estimations of what's wrong with the team haven't changed, stash: turnovers, pass defense, red zone offense have been the culprits under Jason Garrett. Turnovers and red zone offense have improved this season. Our pass defense is still a huge liability.

How's that interior OL looking, by the way? I know you were pretty concerned about that at one point while the team was in the process of addressing it.

the limitations we do have are not with the coaching.

If you are referring to the defense, agreed.

If this applies to the offense, please explain. SOS year after year with this offense. If its not coaching, it has to be the players. If its the players then its still on the coaches for keeping the same deadbeat players who cant seem to get over the hump and do the same old inept act consistently.

Not exactly what I was suggesting, but at least you tried.

they basically just changed out the coaching staff. Whats next..blame water boy? How about putting accountability where it belongs with players.

They changed it out with crap coaches..

Garrett has ALWAYS been the problem and he keeps getting his defensive coaches fired because his offense plays not to lose.

I can't think of the Cowboys trolling me harder then hiring Bill Callahan and letting him call plays out of Jason Garrett's play book.

This is disgusting and I'm sick of watching it and I'm sick of this fan base accepting the mediocrity.

Minnesota and San Diego absolutely suck against the pass and somehow leave it to the Cowboys to not figure out how to break them down.

What you said doesn't make any sense... You eliminate all possibilities and settle on the remaining one, that's the "law of averages"? Further, this is the progression of people that were giving Garrett a chance. Many people from the very beginning said it was Garrett and stick with it.

The coaches stink I can agree with that, but this notion that the players are so talented is ridiculous. We have a handful of above average skill guys. Safety talent is non existent, the oline is mediocre, the dline is decimated but there was no depth there to sustain one injury let alone 2-3 that have been suffered. Outside of Sean Lee, I don't see much at LB either.

Completely agree... only exception is that had "fate?" Not interceded, we'd be starting Ware/Ratliff/Hatcher/Spencer backed up by selvie, brent, crawford, wilber.

our 4-3 looks a lot better with that... and our secondary and LBs would probably look alot better to.

In your own eyes perhaps.

For me, each attempted excuse forthis carousel of mediocrity damages it a bit more. But to then attack others who see it for the 8-8 that if is drops it considerably. If you want to cover your eyes and ears, that's one thing, but don't attack others for not cheering for this ineptitude.

You speak of what has remained wrong under Garrett and then attack the credibility of those who've had enough of it?

How's that interior OL looking, by the way? I know you were pretty concerned about that at one point while the team was in the process of addressing it.

Looked much better to me last week. Now? Much less so. They lost their best lineman and a guy who picked the others up.

I was also concerned about who and what we were counting on on the defensive line, care to talk about that while we're at it?

Or what about concern over TE in round 2 over another offensive lineman?

If we're going to revisit things, why not all of it?

I wouldn't consider Rod Marinelli, Bill Parcells, Rob Ryan (on defense) or even Sean Payton as crap coaches. Dallas has brought in legit coaches but end results have not changed. The focus should remain on players.

How many dropped balls we have? Penalties?? Is that poor coaching??

Running the ball only 8 times against a bad Minnesota defense is horrible coaching. Murray was running well and for some reason our inept coaching staff failed to realize it. I get tired of Garrett continually saying we have to run the ball more, only to ignore it after the kickoff every week. He's an idiot.
