How can anyone defend these coaches?

Tell you what. You take a last place pass defense and try to win in this league esp when you have to play someone like AD. There's a reason we make ordinary QBs look good and great ones. Throw in a suspect run defense and you have to play near perfect offense to win. If you think most are happy with the performances we are seeing think again. We just don't have to vent our frustration constantly or not be able to see some positives along with the negatives. We can also enjoy an ugly win without looking for the nearest bridge. Yes, there was a lot of suckage out there today and its not unexpected with a sand lot defense put together with bailing wire and duct tape. Kick your shoes off, light up a stogie and have your favorite beverage. The offense is going to have to carry the defense the rest of the way this year.

I think we' re more in agreement than not.

But having said that, I take no solace in a come-from-behind win against a league bottom-feeder.

It's 'wins' like this that will possibly allow our very own Mr Davis to tell himself to keep this coaching staff around.

Not just disappointing today, but dangerous.

Yes, there should be more whiners.

I see all this moaning and complaing has really changed things.

No, in short, your just a complainer living in some delusional world because you can't accept what really happened.

You are the one complaining about people having an opinion and holding this team to a higher standard. Sorry Chief look in the mirror before you call anyone a complainer and you can look at my post history and see that I'm far from a complainer I'm very balanced in my view.

I know a win is a win. But, it irked me when Garrett and Romo were jumping around all giddy on the sideline. We snuck by a team we should've beat handily. We will come out complacent again next week and get it handed to us by the Saints. But hey, we beat the Vikes, wheres my champagne?

:D

Hey, that's what I forgot, the draft I was drinking at the sports bar was Sam Adams. Hey Stasheroo keep telling it like it is, I love it.

Parcells would have ripped the team a new one for today's performance. Jimmy, too.

Well, I'll take a win any way I can get it. You'd better get used to it esp until we get Claiborne and Wilcox back (although that's probably spittin' in the win). You aren't likely to see a great deal out of this defense the rest of the year. I'm amazed they can even play this well. You've got to have some very good safety play out of the Tampa 2 and we ain't got none of them. Not to mention a decent pass rush.

As quickly as you can name the defensive linemen on this team. Hell, I'd forgotten about the guy who put the pressure on and caused the INT. I can't remember his name now.

We are doomed to lose to the Eagles in the final week and surrender the division to them or the Commanders. That is our destiny. lol

If we have a different head coach next season at this time...the results won't be different. The personnel on this team is very mediocre.
-Maybe 2 defensive players are above average.
-Witten is on the downside of his career, Tony doesn't seem 100% healthy and the line is mediocre. We have no consistent running backs.

Railing at coaches is habitual around here and 90% of it is misguided.

True.

Today? Victory cigar. Congrats, fellow Cowboys fan!

Here, here.

I don't care who I agree or disagree with around these parts-

I'm celebrating every victory Our Cowboys get.

I'l whine about things that bugged me about the game tomorrow.

I know this win wasn't what many wanted in a win- but in this day and age of parity, you take what you can get and then strive for more.

We took today, we didn't give. That counts and years from now- most of you will never think about this game again except as a digit in Garrett's W/L column.

That and, once again, I'm in the middle of a bender and my posts will only get less and less coherent from here.

The offense hardly has any injuries and they're every bit as weak as the defense.

Yep...This!...and the storm shows now signs of abatement. It just seems to me that the players are just not enthusiastic about Garrett's offense right now. I will say one thing, if the players quit on him it will get really ugly. They are grinding right now but you never know when the bottom falls out. Another horrid first half of "offensive" football, no pun intended.

Everette Brown.

If you dig it up, I advocated signing him two years ago when Carolina first released him.

I'll just wait for it to be over, and then hope it's disappointing enough for real change to occur.

Sad as that sounds.

It's not the coaching because you don't want it to be the coaching. No matter what it is, you won't admit it anyways. If it's the players, take a guess who drafts these players? If it's other coaches, take a guess who hired these coaches. It's either your boy Garrett, or your boy Jerry.

Either way, it's on your boy.

It's not the coaching, because it's not the coaching.

Forgive me, Clove, but some of you guys really don't have a lot of credibility here when it comes to what's actually wrong with this team. That's what happens when first it's the QB, then it's the OL, then it's the DL depth, then it's the coaching. At some point, the law of averages says that group is eventually going to be right. What they really should begin with, though, if they're looking to complain about something, are the things that have actual limitations under Garrett which he's been unable to address. adequately. They've pretty much been the same things the whole time.

And Jerry Jones isn't necessarily my boy. I've been plenty critical of Jerry Jones over the years, because he's a mixed bag. You've got me confused with someone else. I'll defend him like I'd defend anybody against thoughtless criticisms, but there's plenty of legitimate criticism of Jerry Jones.
