How can you extend Dak at this point?

Our choices are trade him or extend him. I would love to trade him for some draft capitol and find a new qb in the next draft to compete with Lance. I don’t think that’s going to happen. Jerry seems intent on riding Dak regardless of outcome.

Well Jed won’t see another SB before he leaves this earth then.

He still has a no trade clause I believe. Another stupid thing by Jerry.
Dak probably sitting at home right now looking at his bank account and laughing.

A friend of mine text me last night...Roy Williams (WR) still doing this after every loss.

Gotta wonder if some of the actual players behind the scenes are starting to tire of Dak. They have to see what most of us see.
This is what got Cooper kicked off the team (Complaining about Dak in response to a Jerry Comment) this is nothing new

Parsons said Changes needed to be made . . . Ceedee is pissed

Definitely no extension. Not sure I have ever seen a QB fall off THIS fast. NO mobility anymore. Cant imagine that we used to call him a "mobile QB" at one time. 6 TD's per year rushing.

He looks like Aikman out there in his last few years. And what happened to his deep ball passing? Those moon balls he is hanging up there what the hell is that?
Many Of those Rushing TDs were 1 and 2 yard QB dives when he was poaching Zeke's TDs

We renamed our entire offense to coddle Duck Prescott, and he still stinks. You have to be a really, really dumb team to do that, to the point where you would do something even dumber like extend him. The best thing for us is for Duck to keep falling on his face, hard. Time for him to Wade Phillips himself out the door along with fat Mike.

Same here.

Extension talks now are straight up madness.
Yup. And it’s not that he’s the only problem or even the #1 problem. But he crumbles and looks scared each time against the 49ers and other tougher teams. I would’ve been fine with losing in a shootout where at least we can take away that there was effort and “ganas.”
Good QB, but not gonna be the big reason you win against a tough opponent so you need consistent elite play around him to mask his deficiencies. He’s Kirk Cousins until he proves otherwise. Good guy. Good QB. Not enough to command big elite money on this team.

I’m sure he would waive his no trade clause if another team is offering a big payday. There are teams who would love to win 10 games and make it to the wild card round. Dak has Jerry by the balls……. What’s left of them. The pats would consider Dak a huge upgrade.

I imagine guys like Micah are starting to really get pissed because they know their career is going to be wasted if they don't get a real QB.
Even if he isn't thinking career might be wasted. Micah gives and expects a high level of effort. It is how he leads and he is the Top Lion of this pack

Micah is already speaking out

I saw Parson's reaction after that first 3 and out where Dak was sacked on 3rd down. It may have been our second 3 and out, but his expression was one of heartbreak, disappointment, and disgust.

They are absolutely tired of him.

I was saying this during the game. I was flabbergasted. I couldn't believe my eyes

He tries to drill it through the receivers chest from 3 yards out but he puts touch and floats the deep balls . . . Absolutely amazing

I don't think there is any way he gets traded. One, he has a no trade clause, two his cap hit would be detrimental to whichever team traded for him and three he sucks. I don't think the guy has much value at this point.

Other teams find ways to cut bait with an expensive, under performing QB‘s, look no further than Wentz and Goff. Both have been to a super bowl after finding a new QB. Jerry will probably double down on Dak, he is playing checkers while other teams play chess.

I would call Dak into my office this morning and all but force him to drop the no-trade clause. If not, he would be cut after June 1st with little chance of another contract for some other team. I can find many QB’s out there that can do what Dak does for a mere million bucks.
I would throw him on the bench until he demands a trade, problem would be a very limited market.
No GM in the league would touch Dak or his contract, we would have to cough up picks and money to make him disappear.

You lose either way. So what difference does it make.

Get a young cheap QB and ride out the dead money.

What other choice is there?
Agreed. Just take our lumps and start the QB auditions now. Here is a novel idea, maybe invest a 1st round pick into the most important position on the team instead of dumpster diving. We haven't taken a 1st round QB since Aikman.

No no no. Lol.

You trade him to another team willing to extend his contract. Obviously, nobody is going to sign him for 1 year and 55M. . Dak will waive his clause for another big pay day. Think NE. Dak would be a huge upgrade over what they currently have at QB. Atlanta would be a great landing place for him. They have a great young rb and no qb. There are places he would agree to go if paid enough.

I absolutely don’t think we should extend him… but unfortunately I can easily see JJ talking himself into it.

He’ll wax folk-poetic and say something like “the midge in your hand is worth 4 hackles at the market” or some such nonsense and we’ll extend Dak and continue to suffer in franchise purgatory
Right now the issue is will Jerry allow him to be benched . . . Can Jerry take the heat in the public's eye. Can His Ego allow for all the crap people will say and all the laughing directed at Him for the whole Dak Circus that He created

He would be the biggest Clown for having a 60 million a year QB on the Bench. Will his ego allow McCarthy to bench him
