How did Romo lovers feel about Romo starting that meaningless game in preseason 2016?

Romo was brittle before that 2016 preseason game injury. He had 2 seasons left, at the most, before the injury. His failure to sign with another team after his days in Dallas ended, are simply more proof that he was done. He brought some good times to the team while here, But it was time for him to hang up his cleats when he did.
Again...I will say it so I am VERY clear.

Usually tony played hurt...because of his crappy team that got him injured....and his competitiveness. He felt he was the best chance to win a game even if injured. He'd pretend to be healed and come back in.....or not healed...just come back in. So he played and got re-hurt alot. That is some people's fear with Dak this year.

FINLLAY..in 2016...Dak and the team gave Tony a chance to FULLY heal. Then they told him...nah..never mind!.... we got to ride this superstition luck thing. We'll give you one last series and he destroyed it.

Then they said oh SHEET...we better pull him real fast before a qb controversy happens.

Well....for people paying attention it happened.

End of the day it is what it is. But STOP lying to yourself about what happened.

Dak and Romo are essentially the same QB. It is amazing how similar the situations are. They go about it in different ways but they lead to the same result.

And when the Cowboys organization FINALLY...gave him a full healing period...they forked him over.

For what? Some sort of superstition? "oh we better not mess with lady luck". That isn't how you run a business let alone an NFL team.

You guys continuously BASH Jerry, for EVERYTHING ...then act like his decision to keep Dak when Romo was healthy was the best thing EVER. How convenient for your Romo hate agenda.

Tony showed his prowess and adeptness in his last drive as a Cowboy and NFL player. The main difference is his team finally gave him a chance to FULLY heal. Then put him in the trash.

It is my...OPINION...a real veteran QB would have taken us farther in the player than a 4th round rookie. Regardless of luck and superstition.

You have your right to disagree and be a follower of Jerry's decisions.
I don’t think it was Jerry’s decision to keep Romo on the bench. He’s not that type of guy he’s loyal to a fault.

I agree that a real veteran qb would’ve taken us further than a rookie. Brady, Rodgers, etc. Romo? Nah..he showed us what he could do with Garrett as coach…..

Rocy me and you agree on alot, If Romo was healthy i would've played him, not because of what Dak could or could'nt do but because when healthy Romo did give you more options at that point...I also dont disagree with keeping Dak in as he was doing great also.

I still think Romo would have won that playoff game or suffered another broken back. But I like Dak and think he is going to get better.

So on one hand jerry pulls the strings and on another hand he doesn't.

Okay dude lol...too much... sheesh. Did I ever say I hate people?

Romo was actually better in MANY categories than Rodgers. But who cares about FACTS when you can just spew Bull shirt.

I said it makes sense i wasn't being sarcastic. You can hold the QB of your team to whatever metric you like that is your right as a fan for sure.

But it seems you are saying Dak and Tony are so "eerily similar".

But there's one glaring difference. IMHO of course.

I said that. Do you disagree?
I disagree that they are 'so eerily similar"

They of course have a lot in common. The main thing people have them in common is their lack of post season and super bowl success.

Completely LAZY!!!!! ax bull shirt way of comparing them.

agian thats fine in your opinion....when I look at what they accomplished through thier first starting years...its alot the same even the stats are close...Dak winning some and Tony others.. from records to stats its similar. you like who you like thats fine. I happen to like them both.

They are trying to make sure he is and it is driving people nuts. But that is ok I like crazy people.

By limiting his contact, throwing, maneuvers, and managing the entire offensive playbook?

That keeps you healthy?

When your very first game is the super bowl champs won by the defense?

Well call me crazy then.

I like them both too. But your assessment is such a surface high altitude comparison is pathetic.

There's no detail, refinement, discernment...

They have a few things on common of course. But COMPLETELY ALIKE?

Rifkingdiculous.

There is much more than that. Just a few off the top of my head:

1. they both went out early in a season with crappy records and back ups led the team to better records.
2. The QBs are separated by only 1 yard in their highest year of total yardage.
3. They both take dumb sacks.
4. They both have missed open receivers in crucial games.
5. they both have never had a truly good defense. Any good rankings have really been more of the result of offense protecting defense.

And so the players around Dak and TOny were exactly the same/.

What are you even talking about? Where in my post did I say Jerry pulls the strings? You are confused.

I don't care what "categories" you can muster up.....Romo was never as good as Aaron Rodgers. You can call that "hate" or whatever you like. That's like me saying Dak is Mahomes.

And you are WRONG. You can "muster up" whatever you like as well. Tony had some better stats than Rodgers. Sorry your HATE doesn't let you see it. Hater/
