How did we lose to the Rams?

Football should be a chess match. I'm not even sure if our staff watches tape of other teams to spot their weaknesses. Against good teams, bad teams, coming out of the bye week, it always looks like we know nothing about our opponent. 90% of our game plans just seem to be just go out there and beat the guys across from you.

IT'S A PROCESS!!! Damn it man, how many times must you be told...:lmao2:

We lost to the Rams because the Cowboys defensive gameplan sucked and there was no viable Plan B.

Belichek shut it down. But you know who else had a shut down gameplan? Wade Phillips. He shut down the Pats offense, except for that one drive when Gronk got loose for a long one. Other than that, the Pats struggled. Yes, Edelman had a good game, but it's OK...they controlled everyone else. If the Rams could have made a few more plays on offense, they had a real good chance to beat The Best. Wasn't Wade's fault. The Rams defensive scheme was damn good. Belichek's was just a bit better....and the difference was Brady could make a few plays when needed, Goff couldn't.

A good coach would have game planned for them. You see what Belececk did to them. Why doesn't it ever seem that we put our team in a position to win vs just forcing them to bang their heads against the other team?

letting fat CJ run rampant on us makes me cry

I wonder if this conversation is a lot different if David Irving played in that game. We need to get pressure up front.

Sad thing is Cowboys have better personal on defense and they got crushed on that side. What would Bellichik doe with the Cowboys personal on defense? This is why until the Cowboys get a legit coach they aren’t sniffing the super bowl. They keep lame duck Garrett for another wasted year coming up.
yeah it is disappointing, but at least they didnt extend him yet.
only bad thing is will the jones boys replace JG with a actual good coach?? or another puppet.

Coaching matters when you have enough talent.

Bill is a great defensive guru but he also builds his defenses where the strength is needed . And he has a QB who leads them on championship drives with games on the line. Greatest combination in NFL history.

Belicheck also wins 11 games with Brady sitting on the bench the whole season and he wins 3/4 with Brady suspended.

How many games has Dallas won when Romo or Dak was not in the lineup?

Belicheck can take lessor talent and come up with game plans to still win games...…….something our coaches could only dream about.

Lots of comments about coaching and JG but only one mention of the immortal Richard. Last I checked, JG isn't the defensive guy and the Cowboys put up more points on NE than the Rams did last night. It was our "Hot Boyz" defense that got dominated by LA.

But Richard is the golden child, so it couldn't possibly be any failure on his part.

I give no pass to Richards. The dude spent the whole week looking for another job when he should have had his arse in the film room coming up with ways to stop the Rams rushing attack.

When Fat Albert is getting 6 a clip on your arse, you suck! Aint no way to sugar coat that and that is all on Richards. Notice that after that Rams game, his phone stopped ringing. Im not surprised.

If the defense is not significantly better next year, he can exit stage left with the clapping monkey as well. Time to clean house.

Belichick is a defensive guru but Brady still had to close the game out. He’s pure money.

Rams are a more talented team than the Cowboys. Sometimes teams are stumped. Look what we did to Saints. That doesn’t mean we’re a better team. Everything just went right in one game. Did Garrett our coach Peyton? No
I would say for that game yes Garrett out coached Payton. Payton went for it on 4th down multiple times instead of taking the 3 points. Is Garrett a better coach, no but in that game he was.

I respectively disagree. The Boys had a bad game vs the Rams just as the Rams did, in their house, vs the Egals, AND, their 2nd string qb. RAMS were the Egals in their SB run. Except for the fact Goff choked & Foles didn't. As we all know, RAMS had no business being in the SB.

Couldn’t stop their run which was spear headed by a reserved linemen in CJ Anderson

And we couldn’t get our vaunted run game started

Recipe for disaster with our team... truly worst case scenario
