How do the Jets compare to the Giants?

Lots going for Dallas going into wk 2 vs the Jets:

—Healthy and rested after a blowout win
— Home game after a division road win
— Weather will be good
— Jets coming off a short week of prep
— Jets coming off what will likely be a bruising game against Buffalo
— A Rod learning a new offense, new personnel

Looks like a matchup of two great defenses. I expect Dak and the offense to show up and play better this week, despite the Jets having a quality D

Obviously, the Jets have a better QB than the Giants. Beyond that, I don't have much insight into our next opponent.

So, in what ways do you expect the Jets to be better/worse than the Giants?
1. They have a quarterback not only with more accuracy, but insane mental acuity for the game. Aaron can see something and take advantage. I suspect the league will take much more effort to protect Aaron by ignoring offensive line holding. The league wants the Rodgers narrative to thrive awhile. They don't want him hurt! It's good media business and NY City is a massive market w/lots of gamblers. This last part cannot be ignored, and will play a big part in the game, I predict. The Jets are gonna hold and mug our pass rushers like mad, with a free pass from refs.

2. Jets have better receivers and equal runners compared to Giants. Wilson might be a very close approximation of Devonte Adams.

3. Jets = a top ten defense, perhaps better

The QB makes a huge difference. Jones was able to scramble some, gaining a few yards. Rodgers won't just run he uses his feet to buy time to pass. The safety's will have their work cut out for them but if they can hold up this cowboys DL will feast.

I don't know but the defense will get after them again. The defense looks good.

Jets are elite in defense, especially their DL. They now have a QB who can play despite age. Good WRs that have speed but their OL is sus. I think today will give us a good idea against a SB caliber team.

It’s hard to say because the Jets have not played yet but their offensive lines is probably on par with Giants. If the Cowboys pressure the Jets the same way they got to Danny Dimes, I don’t think Rodgers makes it out of Dallas alive.

I'm sure you're right, plus we're not going to sneak up on the Jets after they saw what we did with the Giants, they'll have an idea what to expect and they'll prepare accordingly. Nevertheless, we DO have a good defense, so the Jets better be ready for it.
How do you prepare for a team who can rush the passer from anywhere on the field. And probably have the best blitzing secondary in the nfl. When you got around 10 players deep in the secondary and still got Lewis one of the best slot cbs in the nfl still injured you got crazy depth who shouldn't be scared of any wr group in the nfl. Then add in an insane passrush makes it easier for this team. Then you got Damone Clark who has the range to eat anything inside and the speed to chase it down outside makes this defense crazy effective. Nfl watch out. The 2 best teams Sunday were the Cowboys and Niners by far. Oct 8 is going to be insane

They have a top 5 defense and Aaron Rodgers, a true #1 WR G. Wilson and two good RB's Breece Hall and Dalvin Cook.

It will be a tough game

Did hear last week, they want there D to be compared to the Legion of boom.

The Jets will do a much better job taking advantage of the Cowboys' speed and aggression on defense, kind of like the NYG first drive, I'd think. Rodgers doesn't have the legs but they'll do a better job designing the quick hitters.

The problem is that the quick hitters make it impossible to sustain any sort of offense, I'm not sure how the Jets solve that without way better pass blocking.

Better than the Giants. On both sides of the ball.

I expect them to have their way with us.

Stoked for the game though.

You never really know what's going to happen. Hopefully we can do to AR what we did to Tom Brady after losing to Tom time after time after time. Our D beat him up for 4 quarters. If the D can stay grounded, we should give AR a hard time.

The first drive for the Giants was a feeling out process for our defense. Once the Cowboys figured out what the Giants wanted to do it was game over. Once Dallas went up 16-0 the game was over. The Giants are not that bad. Our defense is just that good.

A bit, yea. The way the Giants were moving the ball was unsustainable for sure, but taking a lead there would have changed the whole complexion of the game.

I do think the Giants are that bad though. Their skill position players are awful.

The Jets have a better secondary than the Giants by far. In fact, their defense overall is much better.

The Jets OL is suspect, maybe even more than the Giants.
The Jets have better receivers than the Giants.
The Jets are better coached than the Giants. I don't think they will make the mistakes the Giants made.
Aaron Rodgers seems to find a way to beat the Cowboys no matter what players he plays with.
