He failed because he traded up for Tebow, who was not all that great of a prospect. I'd have no problem bringing him in. You really think JG will be fired?I was doing the Urban Meyer dance last week. This week I am going back to my favorite coordinator candidate...Josh McDaniels. Sure he failed in Denver. He had no QB. Big Bill failed in Cleveland. McDaniels is an elite coordinator. He has Pats pedigree. He wins and moves the ball without Brady. He wins with new skill guys every year. I know the HC looms large in New England but in my opinion McDaniels is one of his best coordinators.Yet when some talk next coach they sing the praises of Lincoln Riley. That guy has won nothing. Why no love for McDaniels?

Because he's not trustworthy, he's arrogant to a fault, he was exposed in Denver, he is a guy who thinks he's smarter than every one else (like when he wasted a first round pick on Tim Tebow like a moron), and frankly, the Belichick coaching tree doesn't really seem to produce great HCs.

1000% ....good post! His tree hasn't done well at all.....last I checked ( sometime last year ), ALL his former assistants, with the exception of Texan's O'Brien, had coaching records of 500 or below.
He is the heir apparent in NE and I think that's why he backed out on Indy.

Flash? Tebow was completely incapable of throwing at an NFL level. You quite simply do not take a guy in the first who's mechanics need to be completely remade. All he did in college was run up the middle. As a prospect, he was a 3rd rounder at best.I agree with you all except the Tebow pick. I mean, I agree it was moronic, but teams do this all the time. Rosen, Mayfield, Darnold, Allen, Manzeil, Haskins, did I miss anyone? All bums. A qb shows a little flash in college and some team ends up wasting a first rounder on him.
He's awfulTexan fans been tryna run O'Brien out of town for years. Im not sure how good he is either.

He has a strong relationship with ownership and I think that's why he backed out of Indy. There's very little loyalty from ownership to management and coaching, when a coach finds a home, hard to leave for that greener grass and most of them fail or we wouldn't have 20-25% turnover at the HC position every year. And this one may top 25%.Which is surprising that he would want that gig.
No Brady and no BillB(obviously) the fans are spoiled from deep runs usually ending in championships.
A run of even losing in the Conference Champ game would be a bad season lol.
Is Brady coming with him? When he went to Denver, NE kept rolling. He's made no discernable difference.
Check out McDaniel’s record without Brady.
One thing some fail to consider is that playbook is not his playbook, that playbook has been there since Belichick got there, other OC's have executed the same plays before McDaniels and when he was gone.Is Brady coming with him?
