How Important is Team Chemistry

It's a coaches league. In a sport where 11 men have to play together, team chemistry is very important. It shows when teams with top talent can't get to the playoffs, while teams with average or good players who play together can get far into the playoffs. Superstars won't win anything if they don't play together. Look at the 2000 Skins.

No seriously 1F, all jokes aside. If I knew, I'd try to find a clip. Are you implying it was Dallas? If so, who got into the kickers face?

Yeah right! You remember all the intricate details of that incident, you are always here on this board reading and posting, yet, you claim you don't know which team this happened on? As a matter of fact, I'm gonna say you are lying out your teeth...

Don't start acting like a RedStink poster...

Believe what you'd like, and I wouldn't care if we were talking about the Eagles, the GIants or any other team In the NFL ...there should have been a straight out penalty to prevent this from happening again.

Larry Allen (now a former Cowboys) was not being a team player in the following clip ...

BTW when i say penalty, I mean (fine) paid by Allen to Cowboys GM.

If Cortez had admitted that he screwed up, then it would not have happened. BUT when he tried to blame EVERYONE else, LA I think was just the first guy who heard it and took care of things. If HE hadn't, I think someone else would have. Would not have been as impressive, but it would have happened.

Back on topic, I was wondering if as an Eagles fan, you feel that your team's chemistry issues will be repaired now that Owens is gone or if the division amongst your team will continue into this season?

I have a good mentor.

I could do that for anything you ask me about ...as long as the information is clear and concise. But I honestly did not know what Team ...who cares if anyone believes me or not. I have nothing to be disingenuious about.

No, you don't...You are lying.

I can't recall what Team it was last year, but I do know that it was a kicker who just happened to miss a very important kick was humiliated By his own team Player when he was grabbed by the facemask and shoved backwards violently. No penalty (there should have been), no fines, and the kicker was probably harder on himself than that player who took it upon himself to admonish the kicker for missing what he considered an automatic field goal.

You listed them seperately, bec. you knew they were different things...

While you're being much too literal, I'll say in my defense that I was generally speaking in terms of an observation that "overall" nothing (denoting all of the possible option), was done.

You know what? AT least with you, I can get a sensible discussion ...unlike with "others." Some want to straight make direct personal accusations that they shouldn't (One day Alice ....Pow, right In the kisser: Jackie Gleason quote from the Honeymooners).

Anyway, like you said ...back on topic, I fear that there will be some residue from the Owens era, but I don't think it will seep into the lockerroom nor have an impact on the team. Emotions will certainly rise during both the Eagles versus Cowboys games.

Poetic justice demands a split in those to games, however, one team could walk away serving the cold soup! You will not see the same agles team you did in 2005!

You're well aware of my opinion of McNabb so I won't go into it again here.

That said, I think some of what Owens said with regard to McNabb is true.

I've seen for myself he can't handle adversity - either on or off the field.

And I think the Owens fiasco illustrated a rift in the Eagles team between McNabb and his teammates.

The action of players choosing sides in the whole mess spoke volumes to me. If Owens was entirely to blame, the entire team would have rallied around McNabb - and I never saw that happen. I think Eagles' players see Donovan as a "company man" who can't be trusted.

I think a rift still exists between McNabb and his teammates that will carry on into this season and beyond.

But that's just my opinion, and we'll have to wait for the season to find out.

I agree. Owens' departure will have little effect on the Eagles' team chemistry. However, the increased team chemistry and talent of the Cowboys, Commanders, and (to an extent) Giants will have a HUGE effect on the Eagles' team chemistry.

Has there ever been an NFC East team, which went winless within the division, for two years straight during the Super Bowl era?

What team was it last year that the QB and a WR had a fued going and stuff, ... can't recall the team exactly.

Anyway, they had a real fallingout and it made the news and everything.

Who was that WR, and is he still with the same team ?

If not what team was stupid enough to pick him up ?

Since I couldn't find the clip of the TO in the lockerroom fight ...

This clip contains the only person that I would actully fear to replace Parcells when he leave the Cowboys (whenever that is). He can take THE Cowboys to the Big Show (but I don't know whether he can handle strong-willed players). He probably can, I have a lot of respect for this guy ...

As an Eagle fan, I can tell you that chemistry ...or the lack thereof, can be the kiss of death to a football franchise.

I thought as being an Eagle fan, that you would know better, that injuries are the kiss of death for a team's season *tisk* *tisk* shame on you :)
