A few people here know I played D1 at Rutgers for four years. I think I told the story of how meeting Roger Staubach inspired me to play football. I was in the Giants and Commanders (not WFT or Commanders) training camp. Didn't make the cut. 6'4", 245 MLB/DE. I'm a bit heavier now at 275, still lifting weights in my, um, later 60's. No one messes with me when I rep my Staubach jersey at Eagle games--won't turn down free club house tickets from a very good friend..

I played in the street at my cousin’s house when I was 8 and I was unstoppable. I mean I was really good. :)

I played flag football with a bunch of high school kids when I was in my 20s. I played so well it made think about making a transition back to football (maybe to another position besides MLB), those dreams faded when I learned how much they had to run in practice. Nope.

I played WR at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. Division II Football. I was red shirted by freshman year and then started the rest of the way. I had a great Head Coach for 3 seasons, Brian VanGorder who went on to be the DC for Georgia, Notre Dame and the Atlanta Falcons. I miss it!

I was able to coach my son through Middle school and now he’s finishing up his senior year. He has committed to Charleston Southern University (D1 FCS) on a full ride!

I played HS ball for 4 years...3 years varsity and captained the team. Played WR, RB, CB, S and kick returner.

Got recruited by a lot of schools, only got a 1/4 scholorship offer from Kutztown (where Andre Reed, Lee Woodall played) but it got rescinded when the entire coaching staff was fired and the new ones didn't offer me anything lol

Coached a couple of years highest level of pop warner, actually coached Jeff Frasier (MLB HR champ) during that time and a couple of other really good players. They were the most coachable kids ever btw.

Other than coaching Frasier, biggest claim to fame was catching a long TD over Donovan Darius in a state championship game lol Ran right by him....used to run a legit 4.4

Did you end up going to Kutztown? I’m local to that area.

Played football in West Texas 4th grade to HS. Played RB moved to SS. The players just kept getting bigger and my genes couldn't keep up. Retired as a Jr. after going through a case of smelling salts, trainer advised me to give it up and take up a noncontact sport like golf.

2x All American Track & Cross Country in college

State & national class distance runner HS & college

Never played FB but in HS and College the QB’s would throw to me as I stopped by after their practices so have a feel for the velocity of their throws.

Also got to run with many of the WRs or others who wanted to better condition themselves in the off-season

Have great respect for the physical challenges of the pounding they take regardless of position
