I have a feeling dallas will not stay put this draft. We will move up to get who we want...
There is 0% chance of the Cowboys moving up. Why would they do that when they only have 6 picks and this is is a very deep draft especially at the positions they need? If anything, they should consider moving down to get an additional pick.

I agree, which is why I'm kinda puzzled when the writer states "Takk McKinley fits the height, weight, speed, profile that the Cowboys look for in their Right Defensive Ends", which is false, regarding McKinley's size.

I dont know about McKinley. We need a war daddy. Getting the daddy is the difficult thing. I hope we can come out of the draft with Watt and Willis. If they need to trade up from 60 - so be it. If we can draft 2, hopefully 1 can become a daddy.

The DBs are lower concern and they are available in every draft. If there is no choice, we can make do with UDFAs for DBs. With pressure, DBs will look a lot better.

Man I am really pumped for this draft. I think first two picks we are going to be shocked who's still available.

He fits the mold of Ware, Lawrence, Gregory, Mayowa despite being a inch or two shorter. As been posted earlier, he still has the length Marinelli desires. (long arms)

I don't think Harris is there. He dominated LB drills and is getting a lot of hype. When he's on I don't know if there's a quicker guy off the ball outside of Garrett.

I wouldn't be surprised if a 3-4 team takes him over Taco/McKinley.

Id be okay with McKinley i guess. His height isnt a big deal considering hes got almost 35 inch arms.

I know we've met with Takk a few times now, but lets not get crazy. We also just set up a meeting with Basham and have a lot of interest in Willis as well
The first visit that gets leaked always sends us into a fervor lol

If I've got to choose between Harris and McKinnely, I choose Tak all day, everyday and twice on Sundays.

The guy has a motor that doesn't quit and that's a primary difference-making trait in my mind.

I think both guys are a bit undersized for a 43 DE but I think Tak is better suited to make the transition. Harris needs to be standing up and a cleaner path to the QB; he's also fluid in space which suits him better as a 34 OLB.
I think we discussed this in another thread, but motor for a DL is huge for me. Takk plays like his hair is on fire and players like that get on the field. Motor says alot about football character too. That type of player is more likely to hit there ceiling then not be because they will put in the work to improve and will take coaching seriously. You probably wouldnt read any slam peices by Haley on Takk.

I really want Takk to be more agile then he is to feel really good about him.

Maybe I'm gullible but... I'm buying my ticket on the Jabril Peppers bandwagon. He's definitely got that A type personality that the Defense needs. Guys like Jones and Lee are good players but I want some dogs that bite. With the talent to back it up.
Well said....

Definitely wouldnt say 0%. Dallas has a tendency to trade up way more then trading down. Trading down is extremely rare with this front office

If someone they love slides down lower than they expect... say a guy like Barnett... I can definitely see a relatively small move up the boards to get him. I would be fine with it too.

Barnett is going to be very good IMO. The guy gets to the QB a lot, regardless of what he did at the combine. Setting the all time sack record in the SEC is no small feat.

Reminds me of when everyone passed on Terrell Suggs because he ran a 5.10 40 at the combine.

With as many holes as we have, the draft capital we do have, I think a trade down is more likely.

Next year with the compensatory picks we have coming would make it more conducive to trading up if we felt the need. Of course, we could trade future picks for picks in this draft, but I dislike that idea.
I don't mind doing it for the right player.

He might not be on the Cowboy's draft board.
I agree with you. Garrett does have a close relationship with Saban, so I'm sure he's got the low-down on Williams.

IMO, he's off our board unless Saban gave Jason a ringing endorsement for him.
