Just as easy to homer away the years, trusting in ole Jere.

Almost 30 years and counting. No stat, no $s, no excuse, no argument is relevant. 30. Years.

The only thing not changing here is crying no matter what. You go Cowboy....gasoline is down to about $3.33 per gallon. Replace Jerry with AI.

Oh sure, don't lose your hard earned money.

I think the way the worded (to get us to click) is really the issue. But I understand the overall premise. The formula to get to the next level when you DO NOT have a Patrick Mahomes requires adding FA to fill a hole and/or getting a young innovative head coach. The funny thing is, the Cowboys were grooming their "young innovative head coach" in Kellen Moore....that is why Jason Garret AND Mike McCarthy were basically told to "leave Kellen Moore alone".

But therein lies the problem the Cowboys will always have with the Jones family in charge. They have an inflated opinion of their football acumen. Kellen Moore NEVER proved he was ready to be the next big thing in football coaching. Actually, what "football tree" did Kellen Moore come from? What made them think he was Kyle Shanahan or Sean McVay etc....? It was the Dallas hype machine....which is what the Jones specialize in....it was NEVER rooted in actual solid football analysis....because THEY DO NOT POSSSES THAT!!!!!!!!!

I'm old enough to remember when Jerry said if he did not extend Jasson Garrett every NFL team would jump at the chance to make them their head coach(I am paraphrasing) Jason Garrett has not been a head coach since he left Dallas and will probably NEVER be again. Not only that...what has his coaching tree produced? Again, the Jones boys inflated opinion about their football acumen led them to conclude Jason Garrett was the next Tom Landry. Combine the star on our helmet and reference a Cowboys coaching legend like Landry and the HYPE machine was in full swing.

I won't say the Jones boys are total duds as "football men" But their football chops ain't even close to being good enough to warrant doing it their way for almost 30 straight years
This is great stuff. Thank you.

I become jealous when I see other teams with the “young, innovative head coach.”

Jerry thinks he can just hand pick anyone who impressed him with a few football terms that he doesn’t understand and groom them to be a head coach.

They have managed to have some decent players roll through here….yet being unprepared and/or outcoached, especially in playoff situations, has been a large part of the problem.

But….he wants someone he can control and push around, and of course has no issue with him constantly running his mouth.

Not as if I was ignorant to this for all these years, but I always managed to find hope that they would get lucky. I finally realize that the NFL playoffs are too difficult for that to happen, and any coach Jerry will hire will never get them far enough. Gotta wait him out. Even then, there’s no guarantee things get better.

You have no clue that the movie Deliverence was about Hillbillies. That had it's own notice in an unfamiliar language. Not understanding is your own making or not understanding...wise guy.

I would love to see you interview Jerry one on one.

Can you imagine the amount of whimsical nonsense needing to be deciphered?

Let me guess. You really think those are hillbillies.

Saw Deliverance when it first came out. That was Hollywoods idea of hillbillies
so connecting the dots you look at the world the way Hollywood does
explains some things

I was stationed in Kentucky and don't need to learn that culture...Mr. attempt to explain away logic with irrelevance.

I've complimented Jerry from his beginning. I don't replace real discussion and respect with insult and ignoring principals with responsibilities.

A Hillbilly song: 'Knock here down again, Pa...knock her down again! Make her tell us why, Pa, she was out late last night.'

They also try to get ahead of things and sign some really awful deals as well. Jaylon Smith, Gallup, and Zeke were all horrible deals. Jay Ratliff back in the day.

The people that the alleged elite refer to as " hillbillies" is an insult to proud authentic Hillbillies.

SEE!! SEE!!! Jerry has a plan!!!

Give me a break. Jerry has zero plan beyond selling his product, which he does well. Period. If he really wanted to "get an edge", or "cheat to get over the top", he could have done so easily by now. With a better owner intent on winning, we are sitting here with AT LEAST 2 more Super Bowl rings. Jerry and Cap Boy don't care about winning. Simple as that.
