Hurts played against Rush, and Dak played against Minshew. We really didn't learn anything there last year.

The Cowboys aren't far off from those teams because theCowboys defense is good and probably better this year, and Dallas has added offensive options.

The 49ers quarterback position remains unsettled, and Quinn is working on Hurts as we speak. Jury is still out on him.
Correction, Hurts played vs Dallas defense and Dak played against Eagles defense.

You are correct but at the end of the day Dak played against the Eagles defense and Hurts played against the Cowboys defense. Excluding Minshew and Rush these both teams looked comparable. And yeah I’m giving the 49ers a lot of respect but I honestly have a strong feeling they won’t be as good as last season if they don’t figure out QB.

There is no clear head and shoulders better than the rest front runner at the moment. Eagles lost many impact starters on both offense and defense including arguably there best defensive player in Hargrave. 49ers stole away Hargrave but lost a good OT. Cowboys was 3rd best between the 3 last season but added a top 15 corner and a top 20 WR while really only losing a solid at best TE. Its gonna be a hell of a fun season this year.

They clearly have made fixing their run game a priority is offseason by changing some coaches, changing the personnel and altering the scheme.
We shall see. Getting rid of Zeke was the best thing they did from what I can see. They did NOTHING on the line that will impact the Oline in a good way. Shoonmaker was a step in improving the run game. However I was surprised all they did was sign Jones and draft Deuce. Unless Leupke is going to have a role.

Naw see this is what I use to do with Romo and i'm not going to do it with Dak. Those days are over. We cant' keep sitting here saying oh everyone needs to play better. Yes, theorectially everyone does need to play better but I have a certain standard for Dak. The standard he's shown. He showed the week prior what he can do. Different teams....I get it but that's what we need. Because its not going to be perfect. The running backs are going to suck at times. The receivers are going to drop passes. The offensive line is gonna give up sacks. Its going to happen. Its time for Dak to step up when those things break down. Because when Maher was sucking and missing all his field goals Dak was there to keep the game out of reach.

I don't care anymore why we lose or who deserves the most blame for it. We have to stop the excuses.
Yeah, because you really believe the quarterback can do it by himself. You just said we have to stop the excuses. you need to stop blaming one person.

Is that what I said?
Yes. It’s exactly what you said. In reverse mood.
How can the quarterback step up if he doesn’t have protection, what did you supposed to do when receivers drop footballs. Run that’s about the only other option out there. You don’t have a running game. You don’t have protection. You have one receiver I don’t know what the quarterback is supposed to do in a situation like that.

Yes, theorectially everyone does need to play better…..
I’m just frustrated my cowboy brother. I know probably that’s not what you meant. But I think if you would read it again, that’s what it said basically

Well let me clarify. Its not all on him to win a SB. But I don't think you can hide your QB to win a title. No matter how good the defense is. There is going to be a time when their best lineman wiffs on a block. Or the running backs can't run. He's going to have to face adversity to win a SB. So the point I was trying to get across is things won't be perfect. But we need Dak damn near to be. If he can't we will continue to be ringless.

Well, thanks for clarifying. But you said the same thing. What do you expect the quarterback to do when everything breaks down around him. The only option is Run you can’t throw it to yourself.

Get back to what he does best. You can’t run an offense without considering what’s best . And by now everyone should know it’s dink dunk Methodical football.

There’s a small gap between the teams, but whether the Cowboys can make it up remains to be seen. We have to get more consistent offensively, and the defense has to continue to improve. We have to play our best football in December/January, not October/November. That’s what’s holding the Cowboys back. San Francisco always seems to play their best football when the playoffs are approaching. They’ll start the season slow then come on.

There’s not a gap IMO. Dak needs to play better against the 49ers. Simple as that. Cowboys showed last year they can play with the Eagles. They are of the same caliber.

I'd also add if Pollard stays upright I think we'd have beat the niners. We slugged it out without a run game or kicker for that matter.
