I haven't explored those thoughts because it isn't happening

Literally the best tight ends in the league were not first rounders. It’s just like the RB position.
Pitts is a hybrid TE/WR.
He's exceptional.
And the best RBs throughout NFL history have been first rounders.
First round RBs still dominate the stats.

I was surprised to see Pitts is still only 22. The guy is a remarkable talent. I think he would cost way too much in a trade. Of course I would be happy but the cost would probably be really high.

Terrible. Is mike any better at using TE's? If pitts runs the same routes schultz ran results will be similar.

They just traded for Jonnu Smith and have been absolutely clueless as to how to use him.

I know his production has been bad but there is a small video I’ve seen of the guy running free and the QB just overthrowing him over and over.

It takes these TEs sometime to develop and I still believe in his talent.

So how would you feel if Dallas trades their #1 overall pick for Pitts?
good question, I think to me it would mean somebody has a plan, and they believe in it so much they would give up valuable resources, so I'd be encouraged to see what the plan was and if it worked.

Out of the top 20 rushers only two of them were drafted in the first round……

It is what it is. I just haven’t seen Pitts live up to what was expected I heard people compare him to Megatron…not quite there yet.

absolutely. He would help this team way more than any skill position player available in this years draft.

Stoked. They are probably going to take a lesser TE anyways
You just know the Jones' thought process would include....we need to improve receiving options for Dak, Pitt's is probably the best available (especially as he likes himself some TE), OH HE'S ONLY GOT TWO YEARS LEFT BEFORE FA, FORGET HIM WE MAY AS WELL GET A 1st RD TE AND HAVE 5 ROOKIE YEARS.
This franchise is getting run like a poker player making an initial stake and then folding, wondering why he's no money left and nothing to show for it.......classic death by a thousand cuts.

The jones would offer a 7th or probably 3 1'st rounders. So probably not going to happen.

I think our TE will be primarily a blocker in the upcoming scheme so no.

I recently researched the top RBs and the rounds they were drafted in and know that's false. Ill post it up when I get off work.
Judging by Pitts amazing rookie year he could very well be on his way to Megatron.

Gotta hit you with a 'like'.

At least it's a trade with 00.3% chance of happening. It's not contractually/financially impossible. And it's interesting.

Dallas fans settle for interesting; the rest of the NFL, chasing championships. Has Forbes given their annual "Billionaires Club" award?
