How would you rank our chances of getting to the Super Bowl?

16.67% - 1.67% for the projected path = 15%..............add another 15% for current trends = 30%!

My view is that there are two teams, ONLY two that really make me pause.

Green Bay, only because of our lack of pass rush.
Seattle, only because they seem to be as hot as we are right now.

None of the others scare me much.

The same lack of pass rush everyone was saying would kill us Vs. The Colts? Look, I get it. After a while though, I just wonder how many times the Cowboys have to prove they can win big games this year before people start believing. I'd fear Seattle before GB. Beating them twice would be tough.

yea, I agree with you. And I fully admit, I was worried about the Colts game. A little less worried, though, after I heard Hilton wouldn't be playing. I don't put anything beyond this team to accomplish. Was just being honest about my 2 concerns. I would rather face GB here, than in GB though.

90% is ridiculous. 15 % is more like it. It will be very tough. Our defense will cost us in the second round of the playoffs at GB. If we beat them though,, changes everything.

I think that's crazy (not your post, the stat). No way we are the 5th best team in this tournament. Not in my view anyway.

Seattle GB new england Denver dallas.

Maybe better than Denver but 4th is where I'd rank us realistically as far as legit contenders. 5th best team in the league isn't bad

The ball is pointy on both ends, which means it bounces funny. That introduces chaos in odds making.

If Dallas beats the Skins and the rest fall into place for the Cowboys to get a bye, then I think they have an edge, however slight, getting to the NFCC game.

They will win that game.

At that point it's health, and a huge dose of Murray and Romo and clock management.

Looks like to get to the SB we will have to win at Green Bay and at Seattle, assuming we win the WC. Brutal.

Realistically, probably a 1 in 4 chance. If we had a bye, I'd say 1 in 2.

I'd love to meet the Patriots in the SB. That would be a great game.

Brutal indeed. But imagine how great that would be if we could pull it off.

Sea and NE are at 5/2, GB at 5/1, Den 6/1 and we are 10/1. Next up Pit.

Well as a wise man once said "When you go up against a big gorilla," "you don't hit him lightly. You hit him with everything you got!"

Okay, I know I'm jumping the gun. But, hey, shoot me. We're in the playoffs so it's not like I'm totally getting ahead of myself.

But I did want to ask this question. From a percentage standpoint, how would you rank our chances of getting to the Super Bowl?

I'd put us at 90 percent.
In the previous season with this team, I wasn't too confident in our chances to get to the Super Bowl, even in 2007. I just didn't trust the coaching staff at that time.

But this year feels different. I don't know if I'm completely on the bandwagon for Garrett, but I do like the approach to the run. I have major confidence in the offensive line, and Romo and Witten seem to have that steely resolve that they're determine not to blow this chance. I think the Cowboys may be a bit more desperate than the Packers (who've been there) and the Seahawks (ditto). And they have a style of play that succeeds during the playoffs.

So I put our chances high.

What say ye?

Tyke I hope you are right, but my percentage would be more like 25%...if we get there we deserve to be there if we go through GB and Sea to do it. Hopefully we have something left if thats the case.

I can see us beating any team in the tournament except for GB.

Not saying I would give up if we somehow get stuck playing GB, but ideally I would want to be able to avoid them. However, I just do not think that's possible.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. GB doesn't want to face Dallas, either.

Actually... I take that back. If they playoffs started with the same seed order as it stands today, I would say the stars would have aligned for us.

Beat AZ at home, beat DET on the road, let SEA take care of GB, and then beat SEA

Assuming the favorites win and GB can beat Detroit in GB this week, that would have Dallas playing Detroit in Dallas for the WC.
Followed by GB in GB.
Followed by Seattle in Seattle

That's a rough route.

Just give me a WC win for starters!

We will win the Super Bowl

Wipe your mouth when you pass gas. Ok, we know you are a homer but please try to keep it real. At this time and the state of the defense I give us a 45% to 55% chance of getting to the Big Show. I am still a believer that the best defense wins SB.

I think the probable seeding won't lie. Seattle has the best odds, then Green Bay, then Dallas. Detroit is pretty formidable but I don't believe they can play clean enough to run off 3 wins against this level of competition.
