I see by your 9000+ posts, you've posted alot. So how is it you take one of the top 3 players on the team, and declare him the issue?
Since Romo has started, he's been given an old Oline, a bad running game, and a horribly bad, unfixable defense. The only legit chance Romo has had is when they went 13-3 and lost to NY. NY went on the road and beat everybody including the undefeated Pats. If Crayton catches that pass, Romo may have been the only guy that could beat Eli that year.
But hey, you're right, it's Romo.
Romo has the 4th highest passer rating this year. 31-10 TD-INT ratio behind three rookies.
What he doesn't have, and has rarely had is a line that can give him time. Time like Eli had in his last game against Dallas, waiting forever to throw. When is the last time Romo could stand around and decide who to throw to? You go ahead and watch those guys and realize that if they a fraction of a second to throw, how good would they be? Maybe as good as Rogers was when he lost both tackles against the Chiefs. Then lost. Welcome to Tony's world Aaron.
Well while Jerra gets some corners who aren't puss's afraid to tackle, more than one pass rushing linebacker, two MLB's who aren't the slowest ones in the league, some Dlineman who can at least do one of the following; Rush the passer or stop the run.
I'll give another year to the offensive line that was on it's third undrafted rookie center, 2nd or 3rd rookie guard and a rookie tackle. I'm sure none of this really makes a difference though, right?
I've lived through Carter, Testeverde, Lief, Bledsoe, Stoerner....the list goes on and on. There are 26 teams out there that will give Romo a job tomorrow.
Be carefull what you wish for.
