Hypocritical? Dak or Romo fans

I don't think Dak is a problem for us, but Romo in his prime and healthy would make this a super bowl team. He made this team competitive when they didn't have nearly the talent we have now. He is a much better QB than Dak with a much better overall understanding of the game.

With the garbage we have been showing on Defense Joe Montana isn't going to win with this group.

I spent some time going through very old threads and discussions from the 2015-2016 seasons last night. I know a couple of you are man enough to admit it, but most of you sadly are not. I have direct quotes from some of you who were bashing Romo for the same things Dak is doing, but you will bend over backwards to defend him. At the same time some of y’all who would never admit Tony had serious issues will Kill Dak for the same exact mistakes!!!

Y’all are so hypocritical it’s laughable. You know who you are and it’s taking will power for me not to expose you. Grow the Hell Up!!!! You will never be a rational fan if you can’t be balanced in your judgements.

Is Dak as good as Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, Rodgers, or Burrow? NO. But he is somewhere in the next group of 5 or 6. Does Dak make huge mistakes that cost us games and have lead to failures in making it deep into the playoffs? Absolutely, but again he’s not Patrick, Josh, or Joe, and I don’t there’s nobody better we can get right now.

Be real and honest, and stop showing people like me who will dig into the consistency of your arguments that you really don’t know what you’re talking about!

Only back to 2015-2016? And you call yourself dedicated? Go back a few more years to the Hutchinson/Carter threads. That's when men were separated from the boys.

I consider myself, unfortuantely, in the middle. Tired of the constant hyperbole from both ends of the spectrum, take it with a grain of salt now, They both make some valid points but get drowned out by all the rest of it. Dak has a good game, he's the next Brady from one side. He has a bad game and he is the next Ryan Leaf from the other. Each side calling the other out for what they said the previous week. Then rinse/repeat. Pretty much the same for Romo.

I Root(ed) for them both, like all Cowboys. Warts and all. But honestly, we did neither any favors (ownership that is).

Team set up both quarterbacks for failure however Romo > Dak by miles. Not even comparable. Most would agree if Romo played for an actual "football" organization he probably wins one if not sees another superbowl

Romo was the quarterback you build a team around
Dak is the quarterback you load up talent and hope drives the bus straight

Nothing will change until Jerry or Stephen step back and hire a proper GM or sell the team

I know it wasn't me because i was as big of a romo defender as I am Dak supporter.

Ya, i was dejected based on what we had seen from our backup qbs in the preseason, our upcoming schedule and the prospects of Dak being out longer than what he was.

I came around before the first game with Rush...

No he's not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Prescot isn't in the 15, let alone in the top 10. Prescot is so severely flawed it isn't funny. I heard Jimmy Johnson say that when he's pressured he goes into interception mode. Give him a nice clean pocket and he's decent, but get defenders around and he throws it to anyone with a helmet!!!!!!!! I am older then dirt and been a hard core fan for over 50 years. IMO Romo was by far a better thrower and read defenses better and much faster. Dak is a better teammate and a better leader and tougher mentally and physically built like a linebacker.

Also bottom line is both of them did not raise their game during playoff time. In fact they both regressed. Romo would have won a Superbowl if Parcells had not pulled the plug. I don't think Dak has the arm talent to win the big one unless our Defense plays like the Superbowl Bears or the Superbowl Ravens. Is what it is and I wish I was wrong.

PS. The constant on all of this is Jerry Jones. His being stubborn and wanting to always be in the spotlight and be the GM continually has hurt us badly. The best thing a smart leader can do is hire the best and get the hell out of the way. Jerry"s ego doesn't allow that. Quite sad.
