I’ve been consistent that Romo was the better Qb and should have got his job back that last year. He was clearly the better QB even if he wasn’t a 100% healthy. They wasted that offensive line that year with a QB that wasn’t an accomplished passer.

Dak has gotten better. He’s a good QB but he still struggles with the same issues. His rookie year he had all day to pass and he still think he does when he doesn’t. He runs into pressure a lot of times. Unfortunately, if he doesn’t produce this year it will be just like it was for Romo on this board several years ago. It will be non stopping bashing. Fans will turn on him.

I’m hoping we draft another QB. Hope Dallas gets Grayson McCall and maybe free up some money again away from the QB spot.

You didn't look through anything. Opinions and people can change in 6 years. This thread is just here to start a war. Thread sucks. Shut up.

If I wanted to start a “war” I’d post some of the stuff you spewed over the years.

I don’t want to be benched for breaking the great CZ rule of “bumping”, so I will generalize instead.

I spent some time going through very old threads and discussions from the 2015-2016 seasons last night. I know a couple of you are man enough to admit it, but most of you sadly are not. I have direct quotes from some of you who were bashing Romo for the same things Dak is doing, but you will bend over backwards to defend him. At the same time some of y’all who would never admit Tony had serious issues will Kill Dak for the same exact mistakes!!!

Y’all are so hypocritical it’s laughable. You know who you are and it’s taking will power for me not to expose you. Grow the Hell Up!!!! You will never be a rational fan if you can’t be balanced in your judgements.

Is Dak as good as Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, Rodgers, or Burrow? NO. But he is somewhere in the next group of 5 or 6. Does Dak make huge mistakes that cost us games and have lead to failures in making it deep into the playoffs? Absolutely, but again he’s not Patrick, Josh, or Joe, and I don’t there’s nobody better we can get right now.

Be real and honest, and stop showing people like me who will dig into the consistency of your arguments that you really don’t know what you’re talking about!

I'll be honest, I am on the side of the current Dallas Cowboys quarterback, if they show better than average skill. Romo and Dak both showed they were worth rooting for. Hoping that they develop into the QB they can be, and get a shot at the Super Bowl win. Romo should have had his chance, the NFL admitted it after Dez caught the ball. Not guaranteeing that Romo would have made it, but he was good enough.

Hoping that Dak is good enough. He has the defense that, "when healthy" (all teams roll the dice on that) can support the team to a Super Bowl. Go Cowboys, I don't care about other quarterbacks.

You make an underrated point - the offensive line was once in a generation in 2016. Prescott may have got used to having that much time to throw which isn't normal for any other QB and as a result got used to it when as you mention - he doesn’t have that much time any longer.

Dak and Romo could not hold Danny White's Jock strap, definitely did not have his success in the playoffs, and many still say Danny White stunk.

The bar has been lowered to the ground in what a real Dallas Cowboys QB should accomplish. So both Dak and Prescott are over hyped, turnover prone, no divisional playoff wins, lost home field advantage throughout the playoffs, and are not in my top 5 of Dallas Cowboys QBs.

Roger Staubach Captain Comeback, Captain America
Troy Aikman - 3 Super Bowls and 4 NFC championship game appearances
Danny White - 3 NFC Championship game appearances in a row
Don Meredith - 2 NFL Championship games and 3 Conference championship game appearances
Craig Morton - 2 NFC championship game appearances and 1 Super Bowl appearance (another with Denver)
Dak and Romo - A bunch of stats with poor coaching.

I was critical of Romo and was all for Dak replacing him. Still think that was the right call. Romo was done. I gave Dak 7 years though. He's regressing. He's not going to lead us to a SB. He just isn't. It's not all his fault. The culture of this team probably will prevent any QB from leading this team to a SB. But I think this team has other problems besides Dak. What has happened to this defense is very concerning.

I loved Danny and I stayed in his corner until the end. Cowboy fans had a higher bar back then though.

Call them out.

BTW, were those 2 Interceptions against the Jaguars on Dak or not his fault?

Romo was the better thrower?

You mean as in throwing interceptions and committing turnovers, especially at the worst times, right?

If you compare their career accuracy numbers, Dak has a better completions % number, and he also has a higher career passer rating.

But, yeah, let's ignore the stats and just keep saying Romo was the better passer. SMH

The first one 50/50, his arm go hit but the pressure was hard. He should have ran or took the sack. The second one should have been caught. He stuck it right between the numbers, Hilton should step right up and bet he #3 WR immediately, or perhaps #2 because MG is having issues.
