benson is likely your best call. turner is done, wells couldn't hack it in AZ who would sell their grandmother for an RB, and kevin smith?

not even worth thinking of a clever "no" to.

That's only to name a few. I wouldn't be against an MJD trade but he is still injury prone and is coming off even more injuries as well

For a 5th/6th, it's hard to be against a rental. At a position where young guys make early impacts, Randle has looked pretty pedestrian, Tanner has proven to be only slightly better at best, and Dunbar, the best of the bunch, has a fumbling problem.

I'd at least give Randle next week. I don't remember being impressed with Murray when he came in for Felix against New England, and we all know how his first start against the Rams the following week went.

We don't have a week - Eagles coming up Sunday at noon. Not a good game for a tryout with 1st place in the NFC East on the table.

Murray has a MCL sprain. Jacksonville has made it known that MJD can be had for a 5th/6th rounder. Given the circumstance they'll want the 5th, I say we give it to them. Make the call, Jerry.

GET IT DONE!!!!!!!!!

Maybe the Saints would allow us to trade for one of their backs. Seems like they always have 4 or more guys that can tote the rock.

They'd trade us Mark Ingram who is a complete turd out there. And they'd charge a 4th or better since they are still licking their wounds for trading into the first to grab him

well i just don't think there's a solid RB out there who can come in and make a difference. also, we drafted what's his name, let him see what he can do. RB is these days the easiest position to fill. i've not seen a lot of MJD highlights so far this year so yea, any other back could likely come in and do just as well and not cost us a pick.

i think they're going to have to do something based solely on the fact that Randle and Tanner are not good at blitz pickup, say what you want about Murray running to darkness but he is a great blocker

Well since the window for the current team is closing quickly, I'd trade for MJD for a 5th/6th in a heartbeat.

He's still a quality NFL RB. He'd be the best RB on the roster, easily.

Dallas needs to save that cap room for possible DL acquisitions. It is getting frighteningly thin :(

Steelers still have Felix or released him, lets give a 4th rounder for him too while we at it. Can he play DL also?

I was one who complained about Murray's abilities, but seeing how he runs with a real O-line now and blocks well and the fact that we have no one to replace him, I am ridden with guilt over my previous criticisms. Murray please for give me and come back soon!

lol how is it closing? Next man up mentality & if you have the coaches, you find new talent that can play in the system.

Benson averaged 2.9 last year. No thanks. They're better off looking at someone's PS IMO. MDJ is not out of the question.

The real question here is how bad is this MCL strain. We need more time to evaluate as well as a MR. He could be back this week or more likely the week after if its mild.

MJD for a 5th or 6th is a no brainer imo. Was always one of my favorite players and still thinks he has some gas left in the tank.

Do we have any backs on our PS? Only asking because if we lose another back we are going to be awfully thin.
