We got Williams and Fred... not bad.

And Gaven, BW, Randle, and Wilcox also......I'd give all four them back for four defensive linemen. I'm excited about Holloman though, wish he was playing more now...Add him to the other two great picks and it will still be a good draft.

I'd definitely do it for a 6th. For a 5th would take a little more thought, but with Murray and Dunbar out, our runningback situation isn't looking that pretty. I'd like another vet in there.

i still dont get this.. *** has sharif freakin floyd done this year?

edit: i just looked, 3 tackles and half a sack.

Exactly. And why is everyone so sure Fred would have been there when we picked 2nd? Especially when practically all the offensive line men went ahead of where they were expected to.

Let's see - He's a shell of his former self, over 30, still has an ankle problem and our line although better in pass blocking is still below average in run blocking.

I dont like it. I do however like the explosiveness of Dunbar.

He's 28.

MJD is all Jax has. No way in hell they take less than a 4th for him. I'm betting he brings a conditional 3rd.

Interesting hypothetical. MJD is quickly wearing down, but he's still producing moderately well on a terrible team that plays most their games from behind.

Someone touched on perhaps the biggest benefit a veteran running back would bring: the ability to help protect Romo. Can we really trot Randle out there as the starter for the next few weeks? Dicey situation to say the least.

I think we could trot Romo out there with Randle as the RB, I doubt it's the smart thing to do especially when MJD is available at such a low cost.

Give them a 6th/conditional 5th and restructure his salary. We cannot depend on Randle and/or Tanner.

What about Mark Ingram? New Orleans never even dresses the guy and clearly they don't have enough room in their backfield for him. Plus he has more burst and less wear & tear than MJD.

Cuz MJD has more talent and A LOT more heart.

Ingram is garbage. There's a reason he never dresses with the Saints... he sucks.

Yes! He is GREAT at blitz pickup even if his best years as a runner are behind him.

Most years I would say no but this year we can go to the playoffs if we have a running game and can get some DL bodies

I would do MJD for a 5th and still be on the look out for a DL before the deadline

Our window may not be closing but you need to go all in with an opportunity like we have this year esp if you can do it without mortgaging the future

I'm really liking the Ingram deal. We know Dallas wanted him in the draft before the saints traded up for him. We know that he isn't a fit up there in NO. So I think Stephen needs to call his buddy and see what it would take to snag him
