He is being really weird with this unsolicited story time stuff.
About a month ago, I began to avoid reading that member's comments on various threads because he always delved into a military narrative = to a commanding general expounding on a war objective \ battlefield strategy.
I broke the stance on my decision just to read what his 'beef with Parsons' was about.
Now that his non-scensical ramblings continued on another unnecessary thread he created... plus his butt-in on our dialogue ...I've placed him on ignore status.

Again - '___Boy' - my comment was directed at another member's post.
Nothing to do with your "topic".
Rudy tute, tute...your being rude has nothing to do with being a discussion board with an addition not directed at a conflict.

Just who does one think he is...YOU created an eye sore here. That is yours.

I see what happened, I was trying to respond to philadon86, who had asked about that topic...in specific. You two run along and play now...I apologize if you as well as your buddy are feeling so abused...

Those are all LB's. Is Parsons really a LB? He might be listed as a LB but he is a DE.
He still drops back in hidden coverages and running lanes to keep all offenses honest. No, he still has function as a linebacker and it has to be respected as such, or teams will ignore locate and still just plan to double team him. Then there is the leadership roll he also has as the head of the linebacker group in the defense.

He's more of a Lawrence Taylor type, but I wouldn't discourage him from actually stepping up to the plate and actually becoming just that...unless one is figuring that he really can't handle that. I see a future HOF, and at linebacker...unless they are now going to address a core linebacker in the next draft. I like what the Cowboys have right now, myself.

Parsons lined up a 5-7 tech DE on 95% of his snaps last season.

Him running zone dog looks out of that does not make him a off ball LB.

The whole premise is stupid.

It is frankly dangerous to reveal personal information about yourself. Given someone's unit for example your can dig up information. People know this and generally circumspect for there own self interest.

When I see people essentially doxing themselves for attention of authority it simply makes sense to question it on several levels frankly.

To me, I see this very year and contracts a very critical year to put the four top contracts in place and project and sustain the roster of quality talents.

This could very well be that gamble everyone is edging towards to push this team over to the very top performers again.

Parsons is on his way to a HOF career, CB and WR need the top pieces for them to have top of NFL pieces in place for both the passing offense and defense.

It will take a workable contract to handle that projection of all of those pieces.

A reworked contract might for Pollard could stabilize that picture and return enough to this current cap surplus to allow the signing of another running back and do the projected here, as well.

Parson’s not breaking the law or causing any locker room division as far as I know. He’s shown enough to be able to talk with some confidence. Only Karen types would disagree.

The team also wins on a new contract with Pollard if the terms are right. Signing Pollard to a long-term deal allows the Cowboys to reduce his cap charge for this season and not carry a large cap charge to a running back as they had done with Elliott. The Cowboys just released Elliott because of a bloated contract, if they go for this with Pollard, the cap charges per year need to be reasonable and not what running backs of the past would have made.

I don’t care what he tweets he’s the best player on the D and he’s working hard to improve on top of it. Some guys would just rest on that knowing a big pay day is around the corner but Parsons is definitely hungry for much more.
Parsons loves what he does, and it shows.

:omg:
Parsons was worth that 1st round pick from day 1. I can't believe he still has critics.
No, one builds upon right and doesn't then run from the truth. That is still the law of the seed...plant what needs to grow.

The direct influence of Parsons upon this very group is a very relevant and observable element in the mix. Again Mr. Parsons, we all love your highlight reels, but make this defense rock hard and aggressive starting out with your linebackers!!

Mike - The linebackers for Dallas look to be the weakest position group on defense, so to be anxious about the position is understandable. The plan for now will be for the coaches to see what they have at training camp before making any sort of decision to scout the free agent market for a player. Regardless, the position right now does look light and could do with more depth. That doesn’t mean they don’t have faith or concerns in the players they have. Leighton Vander Esch was a solid player last year and bringing in Johnathan Hankins up front helped him last year, so you would think the addition of Mazi Smith will also help. Jabril Cox still has questions due to the injury, but when healthy has a shot. As for Damone Clark, I think he’s going to take the next step and be the guy making all the plays that come his way. Don’t take your eye off rookies Isaiah Land and Tyrus Wheat either, they can make the team’s final roster if they flash enough.

Brandon - I think the linebacker position this year is like when your mom told you to clean up your room and you proceed to stuff everything in the closet—you hope no one notices and can address the problem some other time. The Cowboys have one of the youngest linebacker corps I can remember, which could be a good thing. It’s full of potential and could bring a lot of speed to Dan Quinn’s defense. However, Leighton Vander Esch and Damone Clark have a visible injury history that limits confidence in playing 17 games.

Don’t be surprised if they get halfway through training camp and re-sign someone like Anthony Barr to bring more depth. Barr knows the defense and wanted to take time to decide on his NFL future like last season. It would be an easy fit for a need.

This needs fixing:

Brandon - An obvious answer would be Jabril Cox. It’s strange to call him a veteran player because injuries have limited his ability to get on the field. He’s played in just 16 games during his first two seasons in Dallas, mostly on special teams. With the Cowboys drafting DeMarvion Overshown and having Devin Harper from last year’s class, Cox could be competing against himself in training camp, where if he doesn’t perform well, they’ll bring someone in from another team or free agency.

This should help that out...

The Cowboys didn't just stuff the middle of the defense with Mazi, but also re-signing Johnathan Hankins for the start of the season this time, giving the Cowboys hopes of improving that run defense, along with moving Chauncey Golston inside for another versatile big body to go with seasoned veterans such as Osa Odighizuwa, Neville Gallimore and Quinton Bohanna.
Oh, and then there are these encouraging words for an improved run defense from defensive line coach Aden Durde:
"This is the third year in the system for the guys."
