they are realistic. I think most trance lovers are just blind to the fact that he is just not a good NFL QB.
The Trey Lance fan club are nothing more than Dak Prescott haters. We could sign Trevor Semian, Ryan Tannehill, or Kellen Mond off the street and they could probably make arguments for each one of them as to why they should start over Dak. It's really silly that anyone actually thinks Lance has shown anything so far that could help make a case for him being a starting QB in the NFL. I'm not even sure he would be a starter in the USFL. The only two things that have impressed me so far about him is his ability to run the football and his ability to keep suckering money out of NFL owners. He processes information slow and is inaccurate. The worst traits you can have for a QB in the NFL. Also, I am so tired of this narrative that he is not any good because he is not getting playing time. If the guy stinks in practice and stinks in preseason games I'm not sure what makes these guys think he is going to look good in a full speed regular season game. There are 3 reasons why Lance is on the roster: 1) Guaranteed $5 million salary, 2) Jones gave up a 4th for him thinking he could outsmart people (JJ's ego), 3) We need a 3rd QB and there probably isn't much better out on the street. Although, from what I have seen I would take Will Grier over him.

He struggled to get playing time in HS. That means he is not good. It is not the other way around. Players are not given playing time, you earn your playing time.

We have a lot of uneducated fans. I guess that is what happens when you are America's Team.

Bingo! That is all this is. I get it, some fans want to move on from Dak. They saw the trade for Lance as their savior to make this happen. They are trying hard to try and talk this into existence. And before he actually stepped on the field this preseason, this dream was alive and well. No idea how anyone with common sense can view how Lance played against preseason quality defenses and think he can be a good NFL QB. Or watched any of his games with SF a few years ago. He is what he is, not that good. His ceiling seems to be someone who carries a clipboard and will have to prove year in, year out he even belong on the 53.

You don't become a QB playing 1 year in college.

No matter what your name is.

Sarcasm, but that is what his experience is equivalent to. Most if not all of the QB's that were just drafted have way more playing experience than Trance.
That is cool. I like Him. He is only 1 year older then Dak during His rookie year

I am glad He has been sitting and waiting. I feel all QB's have better careers when they watch the game from the sidelines.

Cowboys are lucky to have him. I can't wait to see what He becomes

There are no “Trance lovers” except maybe Duncan. Everyone else sans the Dak-stans know he’s a green project with potential.
he is green alright. he is still a seed that has yet to sprout. there is no potential unless you are looking for a RB or an olympic decathelete.

:hammer:

very true. I think its time for Dak to part ways with cowboys. they each need to go their own way. not sure if that will or will not happen. but Lance is not the answer. as you said, he is just another Guy that's not Dak. I know those Dak haters, they want Rush over Dak..... to me that means I take anybody just because I hate Dak. the goal is not just to move on from Dak. the goal is to get better.

I am 1000% sure somebody will bring up the money and say with the extra money we will get better!!! just watch

I’m not a Dak fan but he’s probably better than half the league . My goodness Washington Was throwing out Heineke & Howell while the Giants get smothered under Jones .

Other teams would have given SF a 5 for Lance , Jerry overpaid . And Cooper Rush an upgrade over the Tommy DeVitos of the league

I will say this to get the Aikman Talent in Dallas the Cowboys need to draft much higher then 24 or 23 in round one . .
Or start a drug rumor about a once-in-a-blue-moon quarterback ;)
See Dan Marino

I’m still holding out hope that this guy is the future of Dallas. Sure, he didn’t play great in the preseason but that doesn’t mean much to me and he still feels like such an enigma. What I’d do is keep him as our backup and see if Dak can handle the pressure!! Keeping Lance on the sidelines doesn’t just make him better. It makes Dak be forced to play better. All I ask is don’t give up on Lance. Dak has gotten how much seasons and excuses? Don’t toss Lance away just yet!!
I mean, crazy things happen... but...

... to me, he is far too inaccurate of a passer to be a consistent and viable starter in the NFL. He could be a good gadget QB or short term back-up where you can win with his athleticism. But, improving on accuracy is not something that is often done at this level... consistently.

You have to remember, it wasn't just the preseason where he has struggled. Camp reports where the same, he was let go from San Fran for little to nothing and honestly, if it wasn't for Jerrah "shooting from the hip", he would have gone for far less.

I was a Lance "truther" when he came out. But, unfortunately, I don't think he is going to pan out.

Delusional. He sat and waited in HS. He sat and waited in college. Only played 1 season.

He will continue to sit and wait in the NFL and unless a team has decided to tank.
