I'm not going to take with any substance a new member who sounds like a ghost account from one of our Dak-stans.
Let him be around enough and have some quality posts (hence the like count I mention) then I just might debate with him.
And that's a big maybe..............
Maybe we just got off on the wrong foot... but he did bounced in pretty harsh for an alleged noob, eh?

Lol
I know you think I'm a Dak-stan. Calling names seems to make you think you have a solid arguement.
I'm no Dak-stan. Nor, a hater. Not emotionally involved enough with the man.
It's not meant to be a personal assertion. Dislike the player not the person, eh?

I was on the forum when it was on DallasCowboys.com. Also, on this board.
I have a ranch off-grid. Over the years, I read more than I post. I'm busy and someone usually says the same thing I was going to say.
Was away a bit due to lack of time and access. Lost my login info at some point.
Lots of proverbial fires to put out lately and late nights with just a rifle, coffee, and phone. Coyote population needs to be thinned.
So, yeah, I'm kind of a Cowboy, too. Been walking the fence line all night, but mostly boring. But, a good data signal.
Gonna get some grub, now. I'm starving.

I mean, crazy things happen... but...

... to me, he is far too inaccurate of a passer to be a consistent and viable starter in the NFL. He could be a good gadget QB or short term back-up where you can win with his athleticism. But, improving on accuracy is not something that is often done at this level... consistently.

You have to remember, it wasn't just the preseason where he has struggled. Camp reports where the same, he was let go from San Fran for little to nothing and honestly, if it wasn't for Jerrah "shooting from the hip", he would have gone for far less.

I was a Lance "truther" when he came out. But, unfortunately, I don't think he is going to pan out.
It really depends on what the accuracy issues stem from. If it's just technical issues, that can be corrected.

3 or 4 1st round picks for these guys that never moved the needle on the team, Lance was 1 4th round pick and his story isn't finished yet. He can be a total bust and still not compare to those two.
Trance was drafted. Worst draft day trade for a college player in the history of the NFL.

Galloway and Williams both actually played and had long careers.

Yes, GM Jethro is an idiot.

wow, the new Genz posters who care about Likes....

frankly, I don't give a crap who likes me or not...but I get it, today's generation is so needy for approval. its a drug to them.
These people when they have no leg to stand on they starts bringing up likes and who likes you and who doesn’t as if it matters in a discussion about football lol.

it looked like Lance's weaknesses. fit him to a tee....

yet, with all those weaknesses, pre-draft projections most of which ended up wrong, he took the team to playoffs yet here we are, Lance can't even get to QB2 on any team..he couldn't beat out Rush, who has wet spagetthi for an arm.
Their must be a lot of pheromones in the NFL if Trance is QB3 for a second time.

The 2016 team was on autopilot even a cave man could have done it. Dak still struggles with those weaknesses and look at the stats he has

Rush as QB2 allows for a veteran that can fill in during a pinch. One with a Proven record on a cheap contract.

Lance is the developmental QB no need to play him unless the team is sunk. The kid is young and still growing

Cowboys are blessed with their QB situation

He won't be for long. He will take QB2 at some point, and sooner than later. Everyone knows this except the extremist anti Trey people.

Then you will start sweating if Dak is not doing so well at QB1. Which I do not believe he will do bad. I expect another great regular season from Dak.
But want to see him improve against the better teams and defenses. Come through in clutch situations more than he has in the recent past.

If the OL improves the way we all hope the will, and the run game gets respected. That will help the passing game tremendously.
Maybe Dak gets that MVP this season.

I already said...you must have missed it. I think if he plays with WR who don't let DB's take the ball out of their hands...would greatly help. Instead of scrubs.

Like Dak had to do...he must learn to throw the ball out of bounds...live to fight another day.

It's my opinion that accounted for 4 of 5 interceptions last game.

Love his arm strength and quickness. He can throw TIGHT! Love his running...he seems to protect himself quite well there.

Like a lot of people...I think he needs PT. If it were my team I'd start making that transition this year. Jerry got us in an awkward spot with these contracts, so it's a bit awkward getting out. It would take some careful management to make sure both QB's are in good situations.
Bravo

1 question:
Were you on board with how Jerry handled 2016? Did you believe it was the best decision at the time?

Because I was of the belief that that team was a veteran QB away from winning it all but many here were enamored with "Locker Room Leadership" and Future Success.
Absolutely not. Jaylon? I would've traded back in that draft, as there wasn't that clearcut difference maker at 4.

Not true. I, and other fans, still like Dak to a degree, and will support and root for him. FAN FIRST.
I stopped reading after the bold part.
Most agree that we like Dak for 35 mil, do not like him for 55. Simple economics, can't pay a QB of Dak's ilk huge money and compete for a super bowl.

Yes yes yes, I know, Jerry would just waste it anyway, prolly true. However, as a lifelong fan, I simply go for the best way toward success, and I do not believe that way is paying Dak huge money.

I felt the same way before the draft. But, I was okay with the pick (Zeke, not Jaykon. I hated the Jaylon pick.)
I didn't like Garrett's offense... ever. No matter who calling plays.

After Trey progresses and turns into a Starter that 4th Jerry gave them could turn out to be the worse trade for a draft pick

I guess if you want to look at it that way...I don't see Lance as growing. they took a flyer. saw first hand. but now trying to recoop something. the fact that he is QB3 on the last year of his contract says it all.
