I don't know what it is and it may sound foolish after vigorously calling for him to be fired but I just have this gut feeling that Jason Garrett is going to take us places this season, he seems confident and eager for success. I don't have any cold hard statistics or momentum to prove it but as made famous by Friday Night Lights "Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can't Lose" and I think that he will have this team playing with their hearts this season, maybe I'm wrong but I've learned to go with my gut.

He's behaving the way he always has in my eyes. I just think they've put a better staff around him and reliving him of play calling can only help him be a better coach. Add that to the fact that he was very under experienced for all the responsibility he received as quickly as he did, and time can only help him get better.

I know there was a group that expected instant greatness from the guy, but he is a human being.

All of this. And a better O-Line doesnt hurt either

I have been saying that this is year 3 of the his 3-year plan...year 1, he (and the FO) got rid of the oldies for the most part and started to draft with the future in mind; year two, they had to decide whether to fix the secondary or the OL...they chose secondary which I believe will pay dividends this season (now that Mo has a year under his belt); year 3, while the OL isn't fixed (of course), they got who I hope will be the backbone of the OL in Fred so the OL can hopefully come together; the mindset continues of playing the right way, infusing more youth and NOW, there are experienced coaches all over the place; he wanted to get his RKG people on board, he now has coaching resources out the wazoo assisting him and some youth on the team...with health, this team could go places

I agree with you. I think we will win 11-12 games and go to playoffs. Call me a homer all you want but this team is destined to do so. Looking at our roster we can match up with any team in the league. I think the defense has the pieces to be special.

He came down hard on Webb after the game Friday night. I don't remember him ever calling out an individual player like that

I wasnt a big garrett fan, liked him better as a back up qb. But i said I liked how he changed the team when he first took over and he did. He has brought a new culture to the team and hes made good strides. I am sticking by him this season. If he doenst do it, i hope he leaves with grace and dignity, and i wont say a word. If he does well. I wont act like i always expected it, but he will have proven me wrong as have the fans who stood behind him and saw what i didnt.

Ether way im not expecting to much of this season, so it can go either way for me, the ride is the same last year as it is this year for me.

I see 11-5 and a nfc championship appearance this year. But I'll take more!

I'm excited too, I'm excited for Garrett, and moreover, I'm excited to see what Garrett couldn't do last year, have a good game called by Callahan. We can't afford any more game management gaffs from Garrett, and we shouldn't because that's all he has to worry about

I've always been a Garrett fan. That said, I don't think he's done a great job with this team. This year will say a lot about him as a head coach in the NFL. I'm pulling for him.

Good description. He was drastically under experienced to be an NFL head coach initially. He appears to be growing into the role. Also, his supporting staff appears to be much much better this year. The combination of Callahan and Pollack appear to be really "coaching up" the OLine. I realize the talent is better now, but they (OLine) just appears to be really in sync this year. I don't think there's any question that Kiffin/Marinelli is an upgrade over RR.

I've always liked the way Garrett runs the team as far as practices go and getting good players in the off season and draft.

His play calling and game management has been god awful.

So I guess I'm somewhere in between as far as "believing" in him. I don't think in the long run he's a great head coach but he's good enough for now.

My new nickname for Garrett is "smiley." I've never seen a HC smile so much during games and look as cheery as he has this preseason. He looks so relaxed it's like he's listening to a symphony during games. He said something to one of his assistants not long after the Raiders scored last week and had a big grin on his face. I just don't get it with him. Appears relieving him of his play calling duties has taken a big load off of his shoulders.

He hasn't worn his ball cap so far this preseason and looks as loose as a goose almost like a spectator on the sidelines. You're in a tight game and your HC is smiling??? Look, Garrett may not be my type of coach but I'm hoping for the best with him. I don't care who's coaching the team as long as the Cowboys win. If his from ear to ear grins, pat on the backs and happy go lucky approach leads to wins this season I'll be on board with it.

Garrett is the same coach he has always been and that's average at BEST. You are seeing the results of better coaches and better players around him. He hasn't done a damn thing.

You may be right but I feel as though Garrett has begun to grow into the role, he's beginning to have a presence about him.

A team can't win constantly changing head coaches. I'm willing to give Garrett the benefit of the doubt and give him more time. If I had my druthers I would make a change in the front office. That's the real issue with this franchise.
