Here's the deal.....

Wade Phillips is the best coach we've had since Jimmy Johnson left. PERIOD!

He's the first coach since the Jimmy Johnson and his triplets left. Yeah I know Barry Switzer did after Jimmy left, be we all know it was really Jimmy's team. This is Wade Phillip's team and you can see what he's done with it. He's 33-15, which is pretty damn good.

And yeah Jerry Jones is a meddling owner, but I have to admit he's a pretty decent GM. I think when Stephen Jones takes over we'll have a smarter operator seeing as he was the one to oust TO, but we won't know till then. We've gotta be grateful for that nice new stadium Jerry built and the fact that he's spending money to try and make our team a winner. I don't mind Jerry as an owner, because I know he's putting everything he can into making our team a winner.

Wade is way behind Parcel's in terms of what he has done for this team and is not the best coach after Jimmy. Wade went 13-3 the first season with Big Bill's team and is still riding another man's team. Wade has never turned a program around, which Bill has done more than once. If Wade was hired after Campo instead of BP, I really doubt this team would even be smelling the playoffs. BP's changes went throughout the organization and we are reaping them even today. Why did the drafting improve so dramatically after BP threw lacewell out and brought in Ireland ? You think Wade has the power or the Gravitas to get Jerry do make real changes ? Bah, Wade is a DC, not a HC, which Jerry loves.

Depends on the team. Our team works well under Wade Phillips, why change a good thing? Last time I checked 11-5 and a playoff win is a pretty damn good season.

The uninformed talk about this "13 year" crap or whatever where we haven't won a super bowl...then in the same breath blame Jerry. Well, how many and how long had it been when this team was practically bankrupt and Jerry bought this team, saving it, finally giving it more long awaited super bowls yet another handful of years after that.

It's just not as simple as "it's Jerry!" off with his head! This team had dry spells before Jerry ever got here. And guess what, they're going to come (have come) in his duration of owner too...as they will also with the next, and the next, and the next, God willing we last that long.

So pick some other excuse...jerry is just that, an easy reason the fans can point the finger at, not the problem.

I measure coaches by production.... since Jimmy who has had better production as a HC than Wade Phillips? no one.

Who has had a QB since Jimmy? Who has had a RB since Jimmy? You see where I'm going with this right? Until Parcells we had no players, a crappy mentality, and chaos. A franchise with zero identity.

Phillips had the benefit of coming in after Parcells. Wonder how well that would have worked had he came after Campo.

WAde Phillips is not the problem. If you ask me he prepares them just fine and they play hard for him. Look at his great defensive game plans He's had.


The problem is not jerry and Wade. The problem is Garrett and some players not stepping up.

Give jerry props for keeping a strong team that can compete. If He took coaches out every year like The fans wanted to we would be a 8-8 team every single year. Stop it please.

To add: Who knew that when Jerry said any one of 500 coaches could win SB with that team, that when it in fact did happen that we would pay for SBXXX for 13+ year of misery and heartbreak and flat out some of the most embarrassing losses in franchise history.

I give him props for this season though, it just proves you are never to old to learn. It's just harder to change your ways.

Spencer has become a defensive force opposite Ware, Free looks like he can be a great long term replacement @ OT, and Folk was pretty damn good up until when he wigged out. '08 draft ended up with Felix Jones, Mike Jenkins, Scandrick, and Choice. Of the 6 '08 draft picks, 4 have been great and MartyB is still up in the air. Wade has put his stamp on this team with offseason additions and the scheme they play, so I give Wade all the credit for what he's doing now. I'll give BP the 13-3 season, but the last two seasons is IMO all Wade.

Did Wade bring in new scouts or a new scouting dept ? Nope. He is using BP's guys. Drafting is hit and miss for the best but after BP's the improvement has been noticeable. Yes, until this season the good drafts have continued which is a testament to BP's organizational changes, not to Wade. I am not sure how much power Wade even has to make personnel choices so even though I am loath to do it I would give Jerry and Stephen more credit than Wade for 2 very good drafts, not sure on this years, but it does not look so go thus far, but Jerry did that with his stupid RW11 trade (even though I am a RW11 fan) so what he gives with one had he destroys with the other. BP's gets my vote over Wade any day of the week.

See I never liked Parcells style of defense, Phillips's is more of an attack style which I think is best. The only thing Parcells appeared to do is upset his players, while Phillips seems to foster improvement. It goes against what we believe should be a successful HC, but Phillips and his dough boy approach seems to work and that's why I like him over Parcells.

I would agree with you on the D. BP had a more reactive and less attack D than Wade. However, that just shows Wade is a good DC, says little about whether he is a good HC or not. I like Wade as our DC.
