I can't think of a better OC than Tony Romo

You are of course "entitled". I can still call it dumb, stupid, narrow-minded and ignorant.

You hate him in every shape and form. Even when he showed up the great JJ Watt? Dumb.
Hate — which is a form of anger — clouds judgment. It’s a known fact that IQ decreases by ten or more points when someone is consumed by such emotions. Although it is not causative of irrational thinking, one must be wary of those who express hatred of individuals alongside with their professed objective judgement of them. Such attitudes often leak into their analysis sullying them with fallacies.

I still can’t figure out why these networks pay anyone that kind of money.

Absolutely no one watches the game for the announcers.

I don’t who is there, even if it’s no one. If I want to see that game I’m watching it.
I agree with you, but someone still has to do it. It's not a job anyone can do, right? A lot of this stuff is a mystery to me. Does State Farm get more business because Patrick Mahomes is in their commercials? It doesn't sway me, but why do they spend the extra money?

Heineken beer for the longest time never used celebrities in their ads, it didn't seem to affect them. If Aaron Rodgers was pretending to like their beer, would it have made any difference? They don't think so.

We tune in to watch the game no matter who is there. But you still have to get someone capable to do it.

I've come to notice EVERY announcer will get a ton of hate and those who hate will be very vocal about it. It's not happening to Romo because Romo praised Josh Allen too much.

I'm one of the rare few who thinks these broadcasters for the NFL have a lot of great announcers and color commentary guys. Kevin Burkhardt is fantastic, Al Michaels is classic (I still think he works better with Collinsworth), and I'll say it, I think Joe Buck is one of the best.

They aren't as passionate as your local announcers, because well, they aren't supposed to be as biased. I think Romo is doing quite well and plays off Nantz perfectly - even Nantz says he brings out the best in him and you can see Nantz getting a little more colorful than he did with Simms in the booth.

I agree with you. I don't hate any of these guys. Don't love them either. But I'd say I do like the guys you've mentioned, and you have to pay them. If it were so easy to replace them, they wouldn't being paid so much.

> football player played golf in the offseason rather than tearing his ACL in a basketball game with the bros

You're a real loser dude and Romo banged your girlfriend.
Romo wont bang you. You'll have to try and sneak in when hes done with Witten.

Tony Romo in't going to coach. It is absolutely nuts to think that he would want to coach.
But the fuhrer could lure him with money because after all, it’s not about winning, it’s about making sure the fuhrer doesn’t ever feel uncomfortable w all the coaches.

We are the only team in the nfl where winning finishes behind:
  1. Jerry having curtains open for hm games
  2. Coaches with no authority to make sure the fuhrer is not threatened
  3. Coaches will contain former players who need not have any coaching experience
  4. The fuhrer playing fantasy football with the team
  5. Continuity at the “gm” position
  6. Etc, etc, etc 27 years and counting

Romo can teach our offense how to throw a backbreaking pic into the flat at the end of every big game.

Apparently Romo isn't putting the work in at CBS to get ready for the broadcasts and is getting called out for it. Why are we sure he would put in the work to be the OC? PS. He doesn't need the money. He's a multi multi millionaire.

Romo made more on tv than he could coaching and the work isn't hard and he gets to play golf and spend time with his family.

I’m starting to wonder if the problem is with his partner Nantz instead. He threw is his other partner Phil Simms under the bus and got him demoted…..just food for thought

lots of politics, jealousy and infighting at these networks

If Romo wasn't doing commentary then he'd be trying to get on the PGA Tour

We're pretty sure he wouldn't.

Yeah, when given multiple choices, people do sometimes choose games based on the crew.
not when its their team or a super great matchup, but otherwise

A guy too lazy to do a few hours of homework to prepare for broadcasting games is going to put in 80 hours a week to be a coach? In what alternate universe?
All BS rumors….and more than 1 year old rumors at that.

Watch a game with Romo and he seems better prepared than almost everyone else out there.

He has a job as of now that has less stress and a much higher income. Why would he give that up to work in that 3 ring circus??
Exactly
he'd have to work a decade as an OC to make he does now in one year
