Provide one single shred of evidence that Romo didn't work hard in the offseason when he was here.

Oh, he played golf rather than injuring himself doing something stupid. This forum has some of the dumbest fans I've ever come across, only topped by Steelers fans - but at least they defend their former players, even to a fault.
He was more interested in being a pro golfer in the offseason than an nfl qb. This is a fact. I kno it hurts your feels but its tru.

dang sounds like some more guys are pissed at Romo for dating famous women while they were home living with bucktooth Becky. Look on the bright side, Becky can open your PBR bottles with her teeth.

Yeah I see you fighting the good fight against what is likely, just anti-Romo agendas. It’s all good. Strange to see folks levying the “he didn’t or doesn’t work hard” without a shred of proof but I shouldn’t be surprised.

If Romo decided he wanted to jump into coaching, I’m guessing he’d do well. Who knows. He sure did well when he decided to get after it as an undrafted free agent. He sure did well after not accepting weekend hacker status and trying to get to pro level. He sure did well jumping into the broadcast booth rising to the top.

Seems history would disagree with the “laziness narrative”. In the end it’s prob about Dak and the fragility folks have when they smell any narrative that could hurt him.

I don’t know and I respect all opinions but questioning the work ethic of overachievers or underdogs who succeed just seems weak.

People talk about Dak getting hate, holy cow, there are people here outright admitting they hate Romo's guts. Romo helped bring out team out of the dark age, yeah it sucks we didn't get a Super Bowl, but hurl that nonsense at Jerry.

When someone doesn’t agree with you this is how you react? Consider SteveTheSnowflake for a handle.
Nope. You got it all wrong. If you can present a reasonable case....I'll give you complete credit and props. If all you do is cry about it....I probably won't. (As you HILARIOUSLY call ME the snowflake)

Let's try this again..,a do over. Tell me why you hate every fiber every aspect...of Tony Romo. What did he do, or not do...that makes you hate every single thing about him. Every play, every word.

Let's dive in and see what's wrong.

I happen to think he had some really cool, boss even..plays that you COULD say "I don't hate that". But you feel differently. There's NOTHING redeeming in Tony Romo ever...in your world. Why is that?

> football player played golf in the offseason rather than tearing his ACL in a basketball game with the bros

You're a real loser dude and Romo banged your girlfriend.
Romo really tore out our brothers hearts man. The pure hatred alleged fans have for tony...is very weird. These same guys would fight to the death for Dak.

I'm not Dak's biggest fan...but I could never say I hate everything about Dak. The only thing I make fun of him for is throwing in the dirt and even that makes Dak jocks furious.

Such a weird thing.

He's not motivated. Truth hurts. It was why he never could get over the hump in the playoffs and why he has obviously regressed as a game announcer. I know it hurts to find out your hero has feet of clay, but it is what it is.
So tell us about Dak then. IS HE "motivated" ...to..."get over the hump"?

This should be good...

Feet of clay? I'd post the highlights proving you are wrong...but you don't care about the real facts. Do you? You just think you know it all...by making up lies. Most (sane) people...and his team mates..think he was a magician.

You can show us Feet of clay?

You think this board is divided now?

Holy smokes this place would be like Gettysburg circa 1863

It's just odd to me that Dak could go out to clubs with Zeke where Zeke was knocking out DJs and randos in crowds, irresponsible with his pet that he got his neighbor injured, etc. but Romo staying competitive in a noncontact sport in the offseason is somehow this grave offense.

There are some real weirdos with even weirder agendas out there.

A reference to Growing Pains??? Possibly? If you don't know what I'm talking about, never mind.

Too many bonehead plays in big moments. I’ll never forget how he acted like it was no big deal after 44-6 loss to Eagles in the 2008 season finale that sent them to the playoffs and sent us home.

He always came off to me like he was more concerned with being a celebrity than a Super Bowl winning QB. And listening to him as a commentator is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me.

I DO NOT LIKE HIM. Get over it.

What? How in the world am I taking this personally? It's an idea that could work out for the Cowboys success.

Wait, is this one of those trolling posts when you just repeatedly tell someone to calm down, when they already are calm, just to get them angry?
That was not for you. Sorry.

No Thanks. I liked Romo the player, but you have to have some experience and a legit resume. If Romo wants to get into coaching, he's gotta climb that ladder. you don't just start out at OC. How many times do you have to see Jerry do this to know it's a bad idea? It was foolish with Garrett and Moore.
Very good Colin Cowherd piece on why Romo is suddenly struggling. In his first year he knew all the OCs, all the QBS most of the players. But turnover is rapid in the NFL. Romo did not want to put in the time to study and stay on
top of the changes. Cowherd likes Olsen---but I see some of the same thing happening to him after a couple of years. And he is pretty limited to QB/receiver play.

It sure does make logical sense to criticize an UFA QB who ended with his career with all Dallas Cowboys passing records of note and one of the higher QB ratings of all time as lazy and not a hard worker.

Romo is paid $18 million a year to watch one game a week.

Picture him bringing Jim Nance along as his assistant.
"What play should we call, Tony? I don't know, Jim, what play do you think we should call?"

Too many people have zero sense on how real life works.
It would be worse than leaving a six-figure salary career job to work a kiosk in the mall.
