A guy too lazy to do a few hours of homework to prepare for broadcasting games is going to put in 80 hours a week to be a coach? In what alternate universe?

The buy out is coming….Romo usual goofiness wears thin after the novelty is over……..He's got a 10-year $180 million contract with CBS. It runs through 2030.
The guy who got lazy and wouldn’t put in the work to follow through on his commitment? If CBS is actually getting tired of Tony Romo, as clickbait titles suggest, then he would be a great voice in the ear of the QB as a QB coach, and probably a top notch offensive coordinator. He loves the game, is a student of the game, and would be tremendously effective at designing plays. Few collarbone injuries in the offensive coordinator world, right?
Yes, the Dak-Romo relationship is probably a bit icy, but that can be a good thing too, both would have to be intentionally professional in their discussions.
We are trying to get someone in the building that can help Dak avoid untimely interceptions, not someone who perfected it.
Lol, Romo once called one of his receivers “stupid” in the huddle. Not usually thought of as coaching material. I could never think of anything much sillyer and having less imagination than the belief Romo would make a good coach. CBS officials met with him about doing better research of the upcoming teams. That’s with a week of nothing else to do while sitting around his house. But yeah, he’s going to want to put in the time doing the same research and film study 18 hours a day at the facility! If CBS is actually getting tired of Tony Romo, as clickbait titles suggest, then he would be a great voice in the ear of the QB as a QB coach, and probably a top notch offensive coordinator. See, this is why I make threads like this... to hear other perspectives. If Romo is dedicated, then he would be one of the biggest success stories. It is up to his choice to be dedicated or not.Lol, Romo once called one of his receivers “stupid” in the huddle. Not usually thought of as coaching material. Let's bring in Romo for the QB that forced Romo into early retirement.....That chemistry should be awesome! If CBS is actually getting tired of Tony Romo, as clickbait titles suggest, then he would be a great voice in the ear of the QB as a QB coach, and probably a top notch offensive coordinator. My reading was they had a meeting over dinner with him, in which in part, they discussed him doing better research on teams between games. Considering they said they have the same meeting with all their people yearly, it sounded more like a typical performance review, much like my state job, except without the 1k dinner. Never saw anything hinting they were the least bit interested in buying out the last 7 years of the contract. We should be safe from this discussion for at least another 7 years!See, this is why I make threads like this... to hear other perspectives. I'll always be in his corner, because he was a Cowboy.
Tony really helped Dak, when Dak was a rookie. If CBS is actually getting tired of Tony Romo, as clickbait titles suggest, then he would be a great voice in the ear of the QB as a QB coach, and probably a top notch offensive coordinator. Another OC learning on the go...that should take another 4 years smh....If CBS is actually getting tired of Tony Romo, as clickbait titles suggest, then he would be a great voice in the ear of the QB as a QB coach, and probably a top notch offensive coordinator. Or even worse, a senile 80 year-old!Who wouldn't want some 80 year old telling them how to run the offense? It's a dream job.
Exactly. He's not gonna coach...He's got a 10-year $180 million contract with CBS. It runs through 2030.
