I can't think of a better OC than Tony Romo

If CBS is actually getting tired of Tony Romo, as clickbait titles suggest, then he would be a great voice in the ear of the QB as a QB coach, and probably a top notch offensive coordinator. He loves the game, is a student of the game, and would be tremendously effective at designing plays. Few collarbone injuries in the offensive coordinator world, right?

Yes, the Dak-Romo relationship is probably a bit icy, but that can be a good thing too, both would have to be intentionally professional in their discussions.
No OC is going to get the $ Romo is getting paid. There's no way he's taking a job making 25% of what he's making now.

I can't imagine why some people continue to automatically think that any good former player would automatically become a good coach. Or why they would make the assumption that they would even want to.
Exactly. I don't want any more Jerry's crew as coaches. Get a guy who has been doing this for a while or has the extreme hunger to do this.

Yeah, let’s hire soywbos NEVER coached in the NFL. That’s the ticket!

The way he is able to diagnose and predict a play pre snap I think he would be a better defensive coordinator.

No question that if Tony Romo put his mind to it he'd be a hell of a coach.
Yes and no IMO.......from X and Os perspective, I agree 1000% but he was a different cat when came to dealing with teammates. He appears to be the ultimate introvert. Remember there was talk about how well his backup Jon Kittna got along with teammates on both sides of the ball, same with Jason Witten. This isn't a knock against him per se but as a coach, you have to lead/inspire a complete multitude of players from all walks of life.

I do think he would be a hell of an OC.......

LOL get outta here with this nonsense. Clickbait BS articles still going at Romo for whatever reason even after his playing days are over.

There isn't a single shred of evidence in Romo's history that he ever gets lazy or lacks dedication. He's not going anywhere, he'll be with CBS for as long as his contract is going and even if CBS gets out of it, he'll have other offers immediately.

I still can’t figure out why these networks pay anyone that kind of money.

Absolutely no one watches the game for the announcers.

I don’t who is there, even if it’s no one. If I want to see that game I’m watching it.
Agree. My mute button gets used a lot. No matter who the announcers are.

By the way, this entire thing stems from some dorky loser sports writer from New York Post. There is also a claim that Jim Nantz is "tired of Romo" and/or jealous.

Sports media wants so badly to turn crap into a soap opera nearing the offseason.

CBS has responded, by the way: "To call this an intervention is a complete mischaracterization, we meet regularly with our on-air talent,” CBS Sports spokeswoman Jen Sabatelle said.

No Thanks. I liked Romo the player, but you have to have some experience and a legit resume. If Romo wants to get into coaching, he's gotta climb that ladder. you don't just start out at OC. How many times do you have to see Jerry do this to know it's a bad idea? It was foolish with Garrett and Moore.
It was embarrassing having the 2nd best offense in the league these last 4 years. Let's learn from it and not do that again.

That was a facade. You can't look any more lost come playoff time. If you don't think the O needed a change that's on you. But this was Garretts offense all over again. Jet sweeps, WR screens, curl routes and maybe a trick play 15 yards behind the LOS on 3rd and 2. And if that don't work just throw it deep.. Completely incapable of running an actual screen play or getting the RBs out in space. Your love for Moore is unsettling considering your take on the rest of the team. But that 2nd best offense disappeared as usual.

Why the heck would anyone think Romo would be a good OC?
Would Aikman be a good OC?

LOL only the uneducated fan would look at Moore and Garrett's offenses and think they were the same.

a lot of fans from apposing teams has said it's gotten terrible this season where his takes just look like he is doing zero research prior to the game. Jets fan mentioned how he barely even knew anything about their team when commentating the game. I think the Josh Allen and Mahomes groupie stuff is a bit much - and he is super critical of the Cowboys even worse than Troy was... you could hear the jealousy in his voice commentating our games lol
I am sure Tony is jealous, he is only making $10,000,000 per year.

Lol. You're not thinking hard enough.
Dude is lazy and has zero experience.
We just went through the Kellen Funhouse on that front, when it comes to rooks learning on the job.
Let's not even get into what kind of playbook would he employ, which I'm sure he's never thought of either except for Garret's and Linehan's since that's all he's ever known...

Seriously bro. Take the #9 glasses off.

I love the fans who pretend they're educated. LOL Garrett's offense fell short every year. What's different about that? Still can't run a screen, use the WR screen a nauseating amount of times. Curl routes to the same location.. were you watching back then? And then outfoxed come playoff time. Moore was kept here so the QB would have continuity from the previous regime per Jerry's instructions. But yeah sure.. night and day. lol

Watch more football, dude. Stop pretending you actually know the nuances of NFL offenses/schemes. Moore's offense is much much more aggressive, especially with hitting downfield.

"It comes up short" - as do most offense. I guess 99% of offensive coordinators are the same.
