Uh oh...
The Eye of Sauron is upon me!
Lol.
Let's hear it.
Bring it on.
I mean, the claim came from you. It's just an odd narrative that some loser columnist made this claim, that is completely uncharacteristic about Romo, and everyone here is running with it...as if people aren't trying to confirm their own biases. Romo was known to be a hard worker while here, it's how he went from a third string undrafted FA to a near decade long starter in the league.

Plus, CBS has pretty much called BS on that New York Post claim. Did you get around to actually reading it? They also made Enquire-like claims about Jim Nantz.

Some loser columnist made the claim CBS went to Romo about his work and nobody is truly disputing it, unless you have links, means what?
Jerry made a point of, when signing him to his new contract that he needs to put in more work like Payton Manning. What is that supposerd to mean?

And his work from becoming an undrafted rook to what he became is great.
I was a fan.
He went nowhere like Dak is taking us nowhere.

So who really cares?

Yes, the columnist for New York Post made the claim that CBS held an "intervention" for Romo when they went to meet him - CBS spokeswoman, who is quoted IN THE SAME ARTICLE, after the update, said calling it an "intervention" is flat out wrong and that they meet one on one with all of their on-air employees in the offseason. It was an article with no merit. And Jerry Jones had a 10 minute sob fest about Tony Romo in his HOF speech about how much he loves him, what is that supposed to mean if he thought Romo was lazy?

And yeah Romo didn't win a Super Bowl, it's a team game and very tough to win. You used to have more reasonable takes than this - you drunk, having a bad night, or hit your head and lose a couple IQ points? What's going on, big guy?

Okay. He's your boy and whatever. Everything can be poo-poo'd with no links, since you haven't provided a single one.
I like him. Nothing great at anything, but it's cool.
Whatever.
I'm clearly drunk. All good.

Hard to imagine him leaving his comfortable life and all that money behind to come work with a skill-less bum like Prescott and ultimately serve as a scapegoat for his lack of talent.

My dude....literally go to the article that is making this claim. The columnist, a complete phony loser trying to generate clicks and an even worse editor, was told he was wrong...and still tried to run with the garbage

Balding loser columnist: It was an intervention
CBS: Uh...no it wasn't, it's a routine thing we do every offseason
Balding loser columnist: Whatever...it happened

https://nypost.com/2023/02/02/cbs-execs-tried-intervention-to-address-tony-romos-slippage-in-booth/

Journos/columnists talking out of their ***** and misquoting/willfully misinterpreting their sources or just having bad sources in the current year shouldn't be that hard to believe. Even the other article that loser is quote linking has nothing to do with Romo "Being lazy" - it's literally an article full of quotes directly from Romo talking about his preparation and how he learns from his mistakes in the booth and learns and evolves.

Wait wait wait...
You think Tony would make for a great and instantly hireable OC?
Because that was my big negatory, for various reasons, but you latched onto one.

You think the Dallas Cowboys should hire him for the position should the option be... something that could happen?

Look up.

What's your problem with balding people?
I'm not, but I find that funny to bring up.

I don't even think about him being an OC because he's not leaving his contract with CBS that will net him nearly $100 million by the time it runs out. I am countering the article that got this thread going that CBS is unhappy with Romo, there is no grounds to this. I also think the claim that Romo is "lazy" to be completely baseless and only used by those completely desperate to disparage him and it's, quite frankly, pathetic.

Being bald is fine. Leaving patches of hair on your scalp in hopes that the rest fills in one day looks ridiculous, only Larry David can pull it off. This is the loser journo with bad sources making his ridiculous claims that were already debunked.

If CBS is actually getting tired of Tony Romo, as clickbait titles suggest, then he would be a great voice in the ear of the QB as a QB coach, and probably a top notch offensive coordinator. He loves the game, is a student of the game, and would be tremendously effective at designing plays. Few collarbone injuries in the offensive coordinator world, right?

Yes, the Dak-Romo relationship is probably a bit icy, but that can be a good thing too, both would have to be intentionally professional in their discussions.

I would be all in for Romo as an OC, if that would get him out the announcer's booth. Yes, TR is very football smart, but I don't like his on air style... Maybe that enthusiasm would serve him better on the sideline.

Yea I would really want Tony Romo to be the OC here, but its not going to happen. He has an amazing gig with great money, less hours, and much better situation. No way he would ever give that up to coach for the circus we have in our FO.

Why would any former Cowboy, want to come back to this losing culture? The smart ones steer clear and comment from afar.
