I changed my mind on Linehan

I agree but the problem is that we are always behind the sticks. Unless we take the deep shot on 1st down. First game we never could catch up. Dak was not seeing the field, had the jitters, threw poorly. You pick one!! Was just a terrible game all the way. Staff and Linehan didn’t change or shake things up. Team fail.
Take the shot anyway. 2nd and 17 and running a draw for 3 yds isn't helping anyone. One of the reasons Jarwin was wide open on that play later was the defense had absolutely no fear of a deep ball, and the defender was looking for something short and wasn't paying attention until it was too late. Maybe hitting a deep shot will bolster his confidence, maybe he throws a bad pick, at least make the attempt. Playing not to lose isn't helping anyone, sometimes you have to let it fly.

Got no problem with it. And he will see 1 on 1 coverage. No one is afraid of our WR or TE.

I quietly suggested Kirk Cousins a few months back, and quickly got dogpiled.

This offense is begging for a good arm. Heck, a guy with Quincy Carter's attributes could work in here nicely.

I wish they'd consider trading for Glennon, who's sitting 3rd string in Arizona. He showed ability in Tampa with a huge arm before going to that mess in Chicago and looking bad.
To tell you the truth Rush at least throws down the field and tries to make a play. At this point I would go for that.

right now the team just seems to be treading water as everyone looks at each other going "i don't know what to do, do you know what to do"? and it's frustrating.
I will say, it does look like Dak does have a bunch of confidence in Bease, he made several nice throws to him and Bease looked good. Keep going back to him and force the defense to dbl him, pull out every play with lil Beasers name on it and force the defense to adjust.

8, 9, even 10 in the box is causing the lanes not to open. Because teams do not respect Dak.
saw a lot of 8 men in the box with CBs in press which means 10 guys near the LOS at the snap of the ball. Think about all the cute stuff you could do as defense if you have 10 guys near the LOS at the snap

The issue is Defenses will take a missed assignment on Beasley or anyone underneath because chances are they are not going to the house. DCs love seeing Dallas on the schedule no, OK guys we will play run on all 3 downs and only need to cover to the sticks.

Good, then keep taking it. He averaged 10yds/catch, I'll keep taking that as long as they're willing to give it out. Keep doing that and it will force the defense to adjust which should help you somewhere else.

After watching a video from AKOYE Media, demonstrating just how bad Dak is, and just how open our receivers where, I changed my mind on Linehan.

Folks, we have a problem here. Dak is costing us games. His fear and inability to throw the ball, it is crushing this team. This loss falls squarely on Dak.

Dak routinely ONLY looks at one half of the field. Guys are running wide open and Dak isn't even looking. It takes him too long to process this info for him to pull the trigger. Often times he creates a sack when in fact he had a receiver wide open.

Not sure how Dak recovers from this. He simply is not throwing to guys who are open for 10-20 yards. He literally had 2 EASY TD's sitting there that he muffed. One was a 60+ yarder to Jarwin the other a 50+ yarder to TWill. Dang.

Watch this expose on Dak. Be prepared to be sick.

If this is all on Dak, then why did both Cooper Rush and Mike White look like trash with all of this talent? Why couldn't Kellen Moore, Mark Sanchez or Matt Cassell win games under Garrett and Linehan?

Honestly, I'm to the point where I'd love Dak to be traded for a 3rd rounder or so just so we don't have to have these nonstop threads about him. It won't happen because when whoever we put in his place looks exactly the same, it's going to put the bullseye on the coaching staff.

Really??? Linehan is awful. Remember 2015? No way the season should have tanked like that. 1 yard line and he goes spread offense and does not give the ball to Zeke. Linehan is awful. I also think that video fails to talk about conditions and the consistent pressure Dak was under. That said, Dak needs to be better.

The bullseye should already be on the staff.

The same complaints we have now are the same complaints we've always had with Jason Garrett.

The Cowboys have just don't a solid job with finding ways to win around him like spending tons of resources on the OL and run game to negate his old pass schemes.

Dak is showing defenses that where he starts looking early in the play is the only area where he is going to throw the ball. He won't progress his read to any other spot in the field. Will be a long season if the coaches don't address this yesterday.

Cousins was meh in washington I wouldn't want to pay him either. Would rather trade up in the draft TBH if we are going to do anything.

Poor Scott Linehan, coach from an 0-16 team and 2 4-12 teams, having his incredible legacy tarnished by Dak. Never mind his empty set shot guns on 2nd and short, 2 TE sets on 2nd and long or screens for 3 yards on 3rd and long. Or abandoning the run inside the 5.

Well played. Predictability at its finest.

In Linehan's 16 years of coaching in the NFL, his offenses ranked an average of:

W/L% - 19th
Takeaways/Giveaways - 19th
Point Differential - 19th
Yardage Differential - 15th
Total Yards - 13th
Total Points - 16th
Giveaways - 18th
Rushing Attempts - 18th
Rushing Yards - 16th
Rushing TDs - 15th
Passing Yards - 14th
Passing TDs - 15th
Interceptions - 17th

Doing the math, the average of the above is 17. There's 32 NFL teams so I would consider a ranking of 16 to be AVERAGE. That puts Mr. Linehan as a BELOW AVERAGE coach when compared to his peers using the above categories. There's a reason why this team struggles on offense and it starts with having a below average coordinator.

You hear the same crap every week...
It's 2nd down with 3 yards to go, the Cowboys spread the field out with 4 WRs so the D must respect the deep ball if they decide to take a shot here. Nope. Doesn't look like the D is respecting anything over 5 yards and are crowding the line of scrimmage. Dak takes the snap, looks left and hits the slot guy on what looks to be a 1 yard gain. Wow, he either got a horrible spot or he broke his out route off too soon because Dallas is now facing a 3rd and 6 yards to go.

Maybe they did make the assessment. Was he making these mistakes his rookie year? Or after the staff let him get pummeled in the falcons game. He has a internal clock of about 2 seconds before he panics. I don’t know if he will fix it. I am sure the staff is aware of this. Maybe Dak needs to be back up for a while. If he continues doing this and losing into week 8 then he will be.
Dak's glitches were apparent last season. We focused on making the offense "Dak friendly" instead of coaching Dak up and eliminating his glitches in the off season. Dak should have hired a good private passing instructor this off season to work on his accuracy, pocket awareness, and the fundamentals of presnap reads and of course reading a defense in general.
