I Just Don't See A Huge Gap Between Dak and Rush

31 other GM's look at that and say that Dak isn't 58 million dollars more talented than Cooper Rush. Hell his one attribute that set him above Rush was his ability to run and now that's gone. No one is saying Rush is a starting QB or a franchise QB. They are saying that Dak Prescott is neither of those things.

I respect your opinion but I've literally seen other current and former players and coaches interviews saying Dak IS a starting and franchise quarterback.

1. So do you believe you're more qualified to assess NFL quarterback talent than those who play and coach the game?

2. You said that you don't believe Dak is a starting quarterback? So how does a guy who isn't a starting quarterback manage to play himself into the top 10 quarterback list every season, become All Pro and an MVP candidate?

3. What other non starting quarterbacks have done those things? What are their names?

Dak didn't get any first place votes. All but one went to Jackson with the only other going to Allen, but keep bragging on that participation trophy.
It's a very strange thing to brag about isn't it? Between that and that whole fake "leadership" badge.

It shows the low bar of accomplishments.

The thread is about there being no difference between the two and your response is basically "Dak is worse" which of course is still a difference.

Thanks for the self report while tilting at windmills.
Not sure I know what this "argument" is about...but I had to give you a like and kudos. Not very often I have to search phrases....but that's a good one!

Given how often GM's are fired and how often the screw up the selection of a QB, I'd say I'm just as qualified.

Getting rid of a 2nd Team All-Pro QB without a good replacement available = the key to winning a SB?

Anti-Dak Cult logic. You people know NOTHING about football.

You can't even think about getting rid of Dak unless you have someone in the building who you think can be the franchise QB after Dak. Wake up.

If Trey Lance had panned out, you'd maybe get your wish.
Sometimes you have to take a step backwards to move forward… I would rather do that than keep banging my head against the concrete wall.

You must be an Eagles fan. I’m sure you hope Dak is our quarterback for the next decade and that Jerry Jones lives forever.

Why would getting rid of Dak make them better??? Dak was hurt for most of this season..... will that make the team go "forward" now???
:lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2:

"DURRRR JUST TANK AND DRAFT DA NEXT MAHOMES!!"

Psst, Dak is 9-4 vs the Eagles and dismantled them the last time he played them. Dallas won the division the last time Dak was healthy all year.

"DURRRR EAGLES FANZ LOVE LOSING TO DAK, OF COURSE DEY WANT HIM BACK!!!"

Nobody is bragging. Stating facts. Dak was runner up in the MVP voting last year. Did he suck this year? Absolutely. Is cooper rush equal or or better than Dak. Not even close.

There's definitely a difference. Rush is very pedestrian but effective. 2023 Dak is the best version of Dak. The offense is much more dynamic with 2023 Dak behind center.

Rush is effective provided the offensive line is effective, the same holds true for Dak. The main difference is the speed in going through progressions, Rush is faster (no pun intended).

Easy, he plays for the Dallas Cowboys. A franchise owned and managed by a man who is hell bent on proving to the world that he is a football guy. It's that hubris that has made him keep Garrett around for a decade and it's the same hubris that is going to keep Prescott around until he retires. This team has no ability to evaluate talent adequately.

Jimmy Garapollo. It happens, franchises overestimate what they have as a franchise QB, either that or they grade on a curve thinking that he might just overcome it. Problem is that when you are nearing a decade and he still hasn't overcome it and you decided to extend the dude.

I would argue that Rush is better than Dak with a poor offensive line. With a great offensive line Dak should be better.

Garoppolo was a perennial top 10 quarterback who became an All-Pro and MVP candidate?? I have a hard time believing that.

No, but Garoppolo never had the luxury of playing the Giants twice a year. He was paid and viewed as a franchise QB for a bit in San Fran who traded for him.

Ok. So you said Dak, who you believe "isn't a starting quarterback" is a perennial top 10 quarterback, became All Pro and an MVP candidate because he is a Dallas Cowboy?

That makes absolutely zero sense my guy. Your production on the field isn't dictated by the uniform you wear. That's crazy.

I don't. You keep claiming he is a top 10 QB but that ranking is based on what? Your opinion? My opinion is that his body of work is largely based on stats wracked up against bad to below average teams. Put him up against a decent defense and the dude doesn't just struggle he absolutely folds. Now we can blame the team around him etc. But it doesn't change the fact that his play goes to absolute hell when playing decent defenses. I'm sure you will claim all QB's have this - sure, but do those other QB's absolutely fall apart? A perfect example is that first half against GB - defense is getting shredded and the offense is out there sleep walking. Mr. Leader there can't even bother to rally the troops? Where is this mythical leadership we keep hearing about? Sorry but what you have here is fools gold.

Part of the deal is Dak has to play against teams not named the Eagles. Maybe for $65 million per season he can bother to beat other teams, too. The Cowboys are more likely to come in 4th next season than 2nd. That is Cowboys’ fans reality.
