Did all of the other NFL sites change around the same time? The one reason I saw was that they had to come into compliance with the rest of the league. Don't know as I don't go to other team sites.I was a mod there, and they gave us zero reasons why it was being shut down.
Only other site I was on was the Texans official site, and it did shut down around the same time.Did all of the other NFL sites change around the same time? The one reason I saw was that they had to come into compliance with the rest of the league. Don't know as I don't go to other team sites.
However, I did go to the Eagles site back when DC.com was going and decided there was no work to be done there. Hell, they were hatin' on their own team so much that a Cowboys fan couldn't make a dent. It was really funny, they divided their time between hatin' on players and the team and each other.
I'll yell you who might have been checking them out, Goodell. You could multiply the Booger negative by 10 throughout the league with fans and I'd bet that was on every team site with a fan forum. He got wind of that and decided to shut that down.
Because he can't control the narrative.
He owned the previous site.
Of course not. However, the statement was made that he wasn't even aware of it. He was. While it is possible, im guessing Jerry Jones personally was/is not aware of every feature running on the team website, particularly when its something not affecting the bottom line.
Dont understand your reply - what kind if deal?If that were the case Jerry would have had to strike some sort of deal with those platforms. He isn’t limiting his machine for them in my opinion.
I never understood that. Of all the crap he spends so much money on, he didn't wanna spend the tiny bit to pay one person to run the website? I think he got tired of @CouchCoach calling him Booger.
I think coach owns the trademark.Did he start calling Jerry "Booger"?
As I posted long ago, the more likely reason is because the Cowboys, like most other NFL teams, moved (replaced) their sites back to the NFL hosted network service which does not likely support forums. Is that the reason they gave? I think it was something else, like the writers were tired of having it pointed out they were wrong almost all of the time. They don't like negativity over there, that's for sure. When they fired Broaddus they pretty much proved it for us., and he wasn't even that negative. In any case, it's their site and they can run it however they want. But it certainly is not for the fans anymore. Do they ever have a scoop over there? Seems to me NFL.com and a few guys on twitter get all the stories well before DallasCowboys.com posts them.
Didn't tell you or anyone else, just was gone one day, Jerry controlled it he just pulled the plug.Huh? he couldn't "control the content" - it was part of his site, he could have made rules that didn't allow any criticism of him or management.
I became a Mod over there and I was one of Jerrys biggest critics - none of us were ever told not to criticize him or defend him.
Fact is that there was just not enough traffic there, not worth it.
They all stop by some more than often from the players to even Jerry. The Cowboys Zone is a real thing. Do you think he has an account just to get feed back or a good chuckle??
Im not sure how this jives with the pretty consistent claim among fans that Jerry doesn’t care about them, otherwise he would do things differently. They all stop by some more than often from the players to even Jerry.
Social media is the only place for them to get a pulse on how their fans feel about things and this is irresistible and mandatory for them in today's world.
its why DC.com got rid of their forum, they didnt like the opinions lolThe Cowboys Zone is a real thing. Do you think he has an account just to get feed back or a good chuckle??
