That's fascinating dude, about when did you leave? As it wasn't CHINESE till 97

my parents finished graduate school in the us, so my grandparents return me to them after 10 years in hong kong.
there was a lot of fear before 97, but then after leaving, most returned since their business was in asia.

The chili meat sauce sounds scrumptious along with the chicken and curry. I love spicy foods Putty.

I'll have to see if he has any videos from Germany. With all that eating he does, he sure doesn't look like Guy Fieri.

it is not super spicy or anything like that. just a nice flavor.
german, ummm putty loves bread and 3 cheese fondue also :D

Incredible. Good friends of mine wish to go there. Now that's a long flight. Whew.

to be honest, putty no longer like hong kong where it is hard to get good food even if you pay serious $.
prefer macau, where you can get really good food for 1/5 the price of hong kong.
it is also less crowded and hotels are also 1/3 the cost for same quality.
visitors are obviously leverging the casinos trying to entice guests.
they also overbuilt a bit.
when china clamped down on capital flight, macau economy took a big hit.

Same here Putty. Toss in some crab legs too.

not a big fan of crab.
once in a while is ok.
there is a restaurant in SF called r&g lounge that does a good salt-and-pepper dungeness crab with lot of fried finely-chopped jalapeno in some batter...

guess it was od'ing long ago on lobster took a lot of the luster off crab for me.
love shrimp though, as long as it is not imported from farms in india or something like that...

Living in the desert... I'm always desirous for fresh seafood.

Sigh...
