She was looking at UT, AM and UTSA. Looks like she's wanting to stay close and attend UTRGV about 40 miles away. That would be great by me. The monkey wrench might be a scholarship. If she gets one to a school that is far away, I may buy a place there and split time between the ranch, the island and there.

if she gets a scholarship, it would pay for the place...
get a 4-bedroom condo.
she can live in 1 bedroom, and you can lock up one of the rooms for urself like they do for ski condo rentals.
