I love how the Lions game ended

Not only did the Cowboys win, but a flag was thrown in their favor to preserve it. The refs didn't have to do anything. They could've left the flags in their pockets and the Lions win. Instead, the flags came out. Despite the Lions protestations, and even an ounce of common sense, the call went the Cowboys way and they won.

The "refs are out to get us" crowd turns into the greatest defenders of refs the world has ever seen. "Of course the call was right! How could anyone see anything else?" Meanwhile, had the roles been reversed we'd have 20 pages of threads announcing "proof" of an anti-Cowboys conspiracy, taking away our winning two point play.

It couldn't have played out any better. "The refs are out to get us, but not this time. They got this game-changing call right. Good job, refs."

Unintentional comedy and a Cowboys win. A perfect night.
Ok there's a difference between the "refs are out to get us" and the refs are screwing us. Last night doesn't take from the fact the refs have made horrible calls towards us.

I think the great majority on this site are just happy that the correct call is made. We're getting tired of the non calls. Seeing calls made correctly is refreshing. At the same time, most of us were furious with the horrible "tripping" call made on Hendershot. It a right/wrong thing, man.

The refs screwed the Lions.

I’m a fan of the sport, so seeing something like that is terrible.

Rigged.

OMG, "the refs" miss a bazillion holding calls against the Cowboys every game.

Make a serious response and I'll take it seriously. I'm not mixed up. I'm grown up. Excuses didn't fly with me as an employer, and they don't fly with me here.
good lord what a self-important post LOL

hey everyone, look at this grown-up who used to be an employer! Excuses don't fly with him! Please try harder to get on his level next time!

I was going to say one of the best posts lately. Until the "refs are out to get us" crowd.

We were playing homefield. So, that just supports the notion.

I love watching the conspiracy crowd acknowledge they don't really believe that stuff. It's just a convenient excuse for a loss.
I've never believed the refs primary goal is "out to get the Cowboys."

They stick their nose into games for lots of reasons, the biggest is sweetening their gambling revenues. They sure stuck their noses in another game last night and it was odious to watch, even if it helped Dallas.

The 49ers were the most obvious benefactor's in last night's zebra actions, securing the #1 seed.

Except with 2:05 left Dallas was screwed and the 2 pt conversion should've never happened.
They calling 15 yard tripping on the wrong team. We had it 2nd and 3 from the 22, instead they move us to 1st and 25 from the 50.

If the NFL is scripted (I don’t think it is)

Lions beat the cowboys in Dallas in the playoffs with some kind of shady call that goes the lions way.

Thats something the WWE would write up at least.

You pretty much nailed it

And predictably, you're being savaged for pointing out a pretty clear truth

Well done. Had this situation been an exact carbon copy with the only difference being us not properly reporting, you know exactly the type of conspiracy meltdown we'd be enduring on this board

So does everyone else and that's why they're so pissed at you for pointing it out.

By the way I love how everyone forgets there was still 26 seconds left and one timeout. I mean theoretically after a touchback if we picked up 30 yards. Aubrey is capable of hitting a 60+ yarder. So idk why ppl act like the game was over.

Which kinda was stupid to me MM took a timeout on the 2 point conversion. But I get it… kinda biggest play of the game at that point

Not only that but they waited for a positive result before throwing a late flag to negate it just like the 'spiracy crowd says only happens to the Cowboys. Every bit as rich as Dallas beating Philly a few weeks ago while having "odd and rare occurrences" go their way by having 3 picked up flags and a double penalty all favoring them. Maybe the refs have finally grown a conscience is all. Lol.

I wanted the game to end with our defense stepping up and keeping Detroit out of the endzone. The ending of the game was concerning.

Oh yeah, and I think MarcusRock approves of this OP.
Almost seems like he should have written it, lol.
If I wasn't out last night and had to watch a recorded version of the game at 1AM, I damn sure would have written it. This and the Philly game were some rich wins. Lol.
