Hope the dog is okay, much more important than this.
He is 15 and 4 months, my son, no question and thank you!

Hopefully he recovers, had a random vistibular attack which looks like a stroke but is vertigo, makes them fall down and head tilt, have to rehab walking once the attack settles.

Usually hits old dogs with no known cause which sucks.

Many time they can recover from this attack in time but may be a long road, praying he can make a full recovery, not ready to lose another, his sister died literally a week ago, also 15 from kidney/heart disease that also was unexpected.

This happened with him Saturday night, so I forgot about this game but figured we would lose and we did accordingly!

We went through this recently, have him checked for CHF. Ours displayed the same symptoms until it was discovered as heart failure. He died on his 12th birthday. Fifteen years is a good run though.

Roger Staubach made his reputation winning these games.
Seems like a million years ago.
These current Cowboys are soft and an embarrassment to the franchise.
Yes he did and the team was coached by a man who flew bomber missions that no moment was too big for.
Tom Landry had them prepared for games like this.
And you are correct it does seem like a long time ago but no less unforgettable

This team is undisciplined and it starts at the top.

The country club culture in Frisco can be directly pointed at the owner and his fat son

We need a disciplinarian in here but that will never happen as long as Jerry is alive
When Jerry dies do y’all think Stephen will be hands off or he’ll pretty much be a worse, cheap version of Jerry. Sadly as bad as Jerry is our only hope is that Stephen retreats into the background. Unfortunately i think that won’t happen and The Stephen years are gonna be dark ala Mark Davis

As Risen stated not long ago, Stephen is as big a pretender in his job as Jerry is. Arguably even a bigger phony as Jerry can always say he hired Jimmy. Stephen will step his phony butt right into Jerry's spot and nothing will change.

When you calm down for a second and think about it, are you really surprised by this team turning what was a prime spot to score the winning TD from the 6 yard line into a desperation last second play that comes up 5 yards short?

For most fanbases, what happened there at the end would probably stun some fanbases. But it shouldn't surprise ours. We live for moments like that. We thrive in incompetence in moments like that. It takes a special level of undiscipined, inept, stupid play to blow a 1st and goal from the 6 yard line with more than enough time to score and the game on the line. Roles reverses, does anyone doubt that Philly wouldn't have scored on us in that situation? Of course they would have. They aren't as dumb a team as we are.

A false start. Then your RT gets whipped to be compounded by your vet QB deciding not to chuck the ball away and live for the next 3 plays from the 11. Then chaos sets in and your QB costs you 5 more yards on a delay, to then not throw into the endzone, but rather short of it........... by 5 yards......... as the clock runs out.

If you had told a fan of another team that's how they lost a game, they'd say you made it up. You tell a Cowboys fan that's how they lost a winnable game against a good team, and pretty much all of us would say, "Yeah, that sounds about right............."
Nope.

Not to mention we're relatively healthy how long will that last?

McCarthy' should have told Dak to spike it, and Dak should have known to do that.
The eagles secondary is a hot mess should have shredded them.
Mike out, Quinn in.
Sooner the better.
Thank God we have a couple gimme games coming up to save Mike's buns

If they’d have called TWO of the six holds I saw, that would have made a difference. The rest? Part of Dak’s foot hit the stripe inside the one, and Schoonmaker was two inches away—that’s how close it was. Other than that, BOTH sides had penalties and mistakes. Dallas had more yards and more first downs, and Dak had better stats than Hurts. The TEAM lost a close game in a good TEAM’S house. Period. Get over it. Tomorrow’s another day.
Yeah and I also believe in sugar plum fairies.
Take the rose colored glasses off buddy and look at this team for what it really is

It doesn’t make it any easier to swallow or less painful to succumb .

Just amazing how we find new ways to lose from a TD over turned . Not sure I’ve ever seen one like that overturned on us . Or the toe out of bounds on extra point . Another first for us.

From fumbling bumbling to the catch that wasn’t this franchise continues finding new ways to lose.

We had ample opportunities to win the game before that last gasp drive which I knew wasn’t going to end well.

The toughest part of all this for me is having to admit objectively that the eagles are just a better team. They made plays when they had to and we didn’t.
Yea but we should have already known they were the better team . I did. Some fans still in denial how talented or lack of talent for this team.

The fact remains it was still a game we could have won. But even if we had retaken the lead I sure wouldn’t have bet against them coming back. Like you said good teams find a way to win making plays .

Nope. This has been on repeat for almost three decades.

I've grown numb to it.
I have to a certain extent as well. But these big games and how we seem to find new ways or plays to lose is still very painful.

You have to hand it to the Eagles. Six of their nine games thus far have been decided by 7 pts. or less; of those, they've won five (their 20-14 loss to the Jets being the aberration). They are way more than likely to win those games, having developed a collective confidence to do so.

The Cowboys have now played only two games decided by one score, and sit at 1-1 (Chargers, Eagles).

When DAL finds themselves in an end-of-game situation like last night, "chaos" - rather than "focus" - becomes the order of the day. We've seen it time and time again during the Dak era. It used to be just him with the "deer-in-the-headlights" look when the game is on the line; it's now seemingly affecting the performance of everyone around him.

With each failure, the pressure mounts, making the next meltdown more likely. That cycle could have been broken last night. Instead, another bundle of sticks has been thrown under the stake the Cowboys will be roasted on this coming week.

This team doesn't need new players or coaches. It needs a top-notch sports psychologist.

I am. Right now, they’re the third or fourth best team in the NFC. IF they can solve their running game problem, they’re legit. And if it doesn’t happen, the sun will still rise.

Currently we are the 6th seed. We will have an opportunity to move up the board .

But at least for the moment we can’t argue they are 3rd or 4th best. If we had won last night we could have argued top 2 or 3 for sure.

Why not? Who would you say is the 3rd or 4th best team if not the Cowboys?
