There would be no bigger free-agency splash that Jerry Jones could make than this as an owner, and as a general manager, there would be no better #2 free-agent WR he could target. In fact, if he does not target him then he is not doing his job as GM.
Moss is an exceptional talent and can be used interchangeably as a #1 and #2 WR, but be mainly used as the sure-fire deep threat that Dallas covets. Paired with T.O. the combination would be unstoppable. Don't minimize this potential move either. We all thought T.O.-to-Dallas was unthinkable and now should all be thankful that Jones had the vision to see past what we the fans initially could not see and/or aceept.
Also, don't just assume Jones will be so willing to give up a first round pick for another #1 WR like Roy Williams when he can keep the pick and still sign a better WR in Moss. And please don't counter this by saying that Moss would never come here because we all said the same about T.O. Also, Moss WANTED to be drafted here, and even though he's upset he was not, I think the chance for him to finally come here and finish his career with what we have in place (not to mention the millions Jerry will throw at him) will be intriguing, and that he would seriously consider it.

As good? The Pats had no real deep threat on the other side of Moss. Having the two best receivers in the league on the field at the same time would terrify the league. I can only dream.sonnyboy;1942910 said:With Moss our 2008 offense could be as good as the 2007 Patriots.
Or maybe he'll grow up and realize at this point in his career, you have to sacrifice your individual stats to win championships.Rampage;1943135 said:if we signed moss than owens would feel disrespected. jerry won't do that to owens.
i agree but doubt it happensThe Panch;1943143 said:As good? The Pats had no real deep threat on the other side of Moss. Having the two best receivers in the league on the field at the same time would terrify the league. I can only dream.

Who knows? He seemed complimentary of Moss throughout this season including rooting for the Pats to go 19-0.Rampage;1943146 said:i agree but doubt it happens

Salary cap prison starts here. If your skin is swelling up, there is a good reason for it.tyke1doe;1942221 said:I don't think it happens. But Jerry did go out and steal Deion Sanders from the 49ers so anything's possible.
Did you just include Crayton in the class of Owens, Moss, Witten and Barber??FuzzyLumpkins;1943192 said:Moss Owens Crayton Witten Barber oh my.

Three things really jump out at me.
How many of you guys see no possibility of this happening.
How many of you really dont want to see it happen.
That not one of you could considered the upside.
Not one of you thought having both 2007 All Pro starting WR's on the same offense was a good thing. This is mind blowing.
Dont you people see how complimentary their skills sets are?
Owens is a beast. 6-3 220 plus. Strong and fast. Although he can play outside the numbers downfield, his really excels inside the numbers, within 5 to 10 yards of the LOS where his run after the catch and tackle breaking ability come into play. His size to speed ratio, ability to break press coverage and play close to the LOS is second to none.
Moss at 6-4 200 is the exact opposite. He will go over the middle and take the hit when he needs to. But his real game is outside the numbers downfield. I've never seen a WR with anything close to Moss's downfield ball skills and catching radius. His speed, quickness and ability to oncover downfield is second to none.
With Moss our 2008 offense could be as good as the 2007 Patriots.

Yeah, so which one of them is going to play second fiddle to another?sonnyboy;1942910 said:Read all 60 responses in this thread.

At this point in their career, both have faced losses in Super Bowls and want to win a championship. Both are in their 30's and regardless of the high level they're playing at, know the window is closing. Especially Owens at 34. Sometimes, even egos as big as theirs can be satisfied with not so great season stats with a ring.soccerbud;1943275 said:Yeah, so which one of them is going to play second fiddle to another?
Which one of them is going to say hey, I will take sacrifice for the sake of the team and become a role-player? It sure won't be Owens.
People play too much madden i swear
