I think a lot of people are taking the Dak friendly as “dumbed down”

Dak friendly??? What does that even mean anyway? This is another one of those Brain Dead Topics (No Offense to the OP, The thread is on point) . serious question. When has any sport, on any level, from Pee Wee

to Pro played to their strengths ? Did the Washington Commanders, not employ the Hoggs when they had Riggins ? They would have looked damn foolish throwing the pill all over the yard with him back there. The Broncos had John Elway

the epitome of football Royalty, yet are you saying they anything but a Terrell Davis led team. The man had 2000 yards for goodness sake

So what all of this Dak Friendly BS ? You play to your strengths. Plain and Simple

Yup. And you have to design your O around your QB's strengths and weaknesses. Something we've been bad at for a long time.

The term "Dak friendly" is an incredibly stupid term. Who came up w/ that crapp anyway?

Frickin' Dak spewers. Go away.
I'm okay with "dak spewers"...as long as they are honest. This guy says I'm suddenly asking him to put rush on rushmore. He goes completely bonkers in his head...then gets mad at ME...about the crap he made up in his head.

Just acknowledge Rush did what was expected of him...that's it. He drove the bus.....so what if it was a Parsons-led police escort? I'm sure Parsons appreciated few picks/TO's.

yes, its throwing it where the blitzers is coming from, given usually that's an open space. its key for recievers to see it as well and adjust as well.
So is Dak doing that? Throwing ...or rather WANTING to throw it where the blitzer is coming from?

I dunno...just asking if we are doing this...trying to.

I think many of our WR's have been soft. Eli's WR's would have given Dak and us a super bowl by now. You could say it's the fault of management, I guess? But at this level shouldn;t every player have massive fire in their gut? HAd hopes for Noah Brown but he went soft on me. (tears up a little)

its standard in NFL. blitz pick up and with blitz comes opportunity. the WR and QB have to read the same blitz and change the play before snap for the WR to get to the spot behind the blitzer. also, picking up the blitz is key, which is what the QB does in pre-snap with moving the protection .

I am not sure about soft, although I do miss physicality of Dez. Gallup is our most physical WR. that's not saying much.

well, in 2022, Dak had a much higher rate of interceptions than previous years. I hate pick sixes as much as the next person, but one of the three was on brown, thus he is no longer here.
but you can not deny the offense was top 10. scored more points, had better stats all around in top 10 in almost every statistical category and defense was a lot less effective in those games. we never scored less than 24, until the last meaningless game of the year, where with rush we crossed that threshold once.

Rush knows his limitations. yes, he does. its a pretty low bar. now, so do rest of DCs in the league know his limitations. he got really lucky against the rams, given the defense was directly responsible for almost as many points as the offense led by Rush and in Philly game, the first time a team scored more than 20 points, we lost badly.

but go ahead. hang your hat on Rush. put him on Mount Rushmore if you want.
Top 10 means nothing when the top 3-4 offenses lapped you three times around the track.

The NFL is really awful right now overall. QB play is atrocious.

what does other offenses lapping the defense have to do with Dallas Offense? or are you complaining that why Dallas offense is not top 3.?

There is no "top" anything. Rankings like that are for fantasy football dorks.

Racking up meaningless numbers against awful teams is pointless. What do you do when it really matters against the elite teams in the big games is ALL that matters.

And this offense fails miserably every time.

Tampa was horrible. Just gawd awful. Any playoff team would have destroyed them.

Eagles didn't really care at that point and didn't have Hurts. The regular season was over.

Stop with this.
This coming season the bizarro Prescott tales end once and for all.
Not many teams like the Falcons are on the schedule and formidable defenses from the Jets to the Fins etc.
No matter as these Dak lovers will sell sell sell their man-crush using numerous excuses once again when our eyes are witnessing mediocrity at its finest.
My heart goes out to our defense which will once again give 110% to accomplish zero.

It won;t stop. "They" keep using the 2022 Bucs game as some kind of Dak crowning achievement. It is...a lie.

They tout Bucs defense as "top 10". In a division so terrible they won it at 8-9. Playing such terrible teams pads the stats.

They tout Dak beating "GOAT" brady...even though they don't play each other. (QB's don;t win games by themselves...unless it;s convenient). Even though brady was physically and personally a complete mess.

They tout Bucs as defending champs...even though they lost their master head coach, blew up the 2021 team, then blew it up again 2022.

Then they suddenly make all kinds of other excuses when we peed ourselves in SF when we had to play a real quality playoff team.

Truly deranged.

Dak or QB friendly doesn't mean to dumb down but Turpin admitted this has been a less complicated offense which can be construed as being dumb'd down.

see the spin. tampa was bad. eagles didn't care. so when we lose, its all the rage on how we sucked. but when we win its becaue the other team sucked, not because we were good.

got it

actually one could argue, if its too complicated, then its stupid. you create more opportunities for mistakes.

Hey, they even said that Dak made Brady retire after that game! Can you believe that crap?

You have basically outlined Dak's whole career. Look at every single one of this so called "signature wins" - there aren't really a whole lot and you will see this same pattern play out - catch a team that is on the downside or hit by the injury bug and of course the Dak over Cowboys crowd will scream that this is proof positive that this guy is a franchise QB.

Off topic, but did you know that Dak was the first man to walk on the moon? It's true! Ask around...
