I think I'm against paying Micah, CeeDee and Dak

Parsons would be ideal as a pass rushing OLB in a 3-4, like TJ Watt.
Yes he would. Watt plays in coverage a lot and Micah could do that. Their 3/4 isn’t like what we did with ware. Ideally you don’t send same guy over and over all game. Micah could be good in a watt stylr

Doesn’t matter. The market is the market
For other positions maybe. The QB market is screwball and against what anyone who has a clue in business would tell you. 2nd tier(and worse) QBs are being paid at top tier prices. If you're going by market, then the QB's should be getting what their talent level indicates. Including playoff success.

So, I do not agree that the market is the market.

Who is going to give multiple 1st round picks for Micah? That is something you would ask for Aaron Rogers in his prime.

Dallas Cowboy fans never fail to impress. Lmao!
What did DeShaun Watson get in return?

What did Khalil (spelling?) Mack get in return?

Agree 1000%
Parsons is too small to keep rushing the passer.
His contract will not age well.
He’s just a few lbs lighter than watt and much faster. He wears down because we use him wrong. Watt drops in coverage lots so the line doesn’t know who’s rushing as easily. A 3/4 with micah would work I think

We're going to pay 3 players well over 100 million dollars per season when there's a salary cap. We're just going to get worse doing this not better. What is the point?

Trade Micah for multiple first round picks and don't extend Dak. Go ahead and pay CeeDee. Micah wears down as the season goes on, one day he'll lost his burst and he'll be an overbloated terrible contract.
I think we have to trade at least one of our young stars. I don’t think Micah is the one I’d trade. I’d bring in bill and go to a 3/4 and have Micah play like watt does. And they aren’t much different in size. We have Diggs on a 2nd contract and bland coming up for a deal. I’d trade bland now when his value is its highest. Dak is complicated because of the dead money but I think all options, without loyalty or emotion hsve to be on the table but they also have to make sense financially

I think DQ got too comfortable with Parsons at DE mainly LDE. Should have moved him around more and used him as a blitzer from different areas while using 4 other Dlinemen
I liked him in the middle rushing which also helps with run D

The last time we went full rebuild was when Parcells was here. It needs to be done, we're always retooling and running it back. That's obviously hasn't been working.
It didn't work under Parcells either.

The one thing I know is that we haven't invested a 1st round pick in a QB since Aikman, it's always Jerry thinking he's clever and finding a diamond in the rough like Romo or Dak. There is a reason those guys weren't 1st round picks, neither has ever won anything except looking good in the regular season.

What have any of them done to get us anywhere in the nfl?? Nada, zero, nothing. Dont pay them crap until there are playoff results. All 32 teams play 17 games every year regardless of pay scale. So why pay them more???

Agree. Keyn, are you reading these other posts? You are in the minority here.
Doesn’t mean I’m wrong. Wont be the last time the echo chamber and I are at odds on opinion!

I’ve actually commented several times that I’m open to a practical retooling up to and including replacing McCarthy and even Dak, as unlikely as that is, but I think it’s naïve and downright silly to think this team and owner are going to burn it to the ground.

We see “trade Parsons! Diggs! Lamb!!” Posts all the time.

I know there are people who will seriously be up for a complete tank and tear down every three years forever until they “feel” the team is guaranteed to be a Super Bowl winner.

These are the people who seriously would be fine with a team full of rookie contracts, middle of the road peripheral pro bowl players and aging vets working cheap.

But people can be outraged if they like. I’ve been an NFL fan for far too long to ignore the way the league works.

Your mentality is stick with proven losers and don't try to rebuild into an actual contender, just keep repeating the same thing and expect different results. I said keep CeeDee, get rid of Dak and Micah because they have obvious flaws that is not conductive of winning a championship. What has Dak shown you in 8 years that he can suddenly turn it on in his 30's and win you a Super Bowl? It's ridiculous to even think it after the debacle we just saw, and it's not close to the first time.

You're scared of the unknown so you're content with 12 wins and a WC or Divisional Round loss. You have the same mentality as Jerry freaking Jones. You realize the average age a QB retires is 34, Dak will be 31 when the season starts next year. He won't be around forever regardless. Why wait when he's not winning us anything important.
No, its common sense. You want to be mad at Dak. Go ahead. But you're still not cutting or benching a 30 yr old QB fresh off an All Pro year and think you're now gonna start winning. You want to be so upset about a podcast that you get rid of a generational defensive edge player after the 3 years he has had? Go ahead. But if a guy like Parsons, that isn't a problem player, can't get a second contract here then you have WAYYYY bigger issues then worrying about winning a SB.

You think Dak & Parsons can't get you to a SB? How exactly do you think you're gonna do that when nobody will sign here, resign here, & likely have every player that has options elsewhere demanding a trade and hold out? I get everyone's frustration. I'm frustrated too but this isn't Madden. There are real life consequences to these moves.

I would keep CeeDee for sure. I'm all in on cashing our lotto ticket in Micah and building this thing. I think we move on from Dak too and draft a QB and see what we have in Lance. This group has had their chances and it didn't work out. Some players just don't shine when it matters most. Bulk up on draft picks and build a winner...just like we did in the 90's.
It’s not the 90’s. There’s a salary cap now. The JJs didn’t have to even close to the constructions they current teams have from salary cap to player control to practice times to union stranglehold.

It’s like us back in the 90s talking about the 1950s

I’d take the cap hit and start Lance
Start Lance with whom??? You wouldn't have Cap space big enough to sign or re-sign anyone hardly. Jerry isn't throwing a season away to finish in the top 5.. Losing money out his mouth and butt? Not being able to lie to the fans about hope and still be relevant? TV money exposer? Not Jerry's way.

Apparently you are happy with it if you want to keep things the same. No risk, no reward. We know what we have in the current group. Chokes.
Nah I don't want the full rebuild, don't want the brown bags over our heads. No one can say how long that will last, especially with this dysfunctional organization...I want to stay competitive and at the same time develop and transition to a new QB.....

I’d rather be in rebuild mode than watch annual 1 and dones.

Some teams turn it around real quick. Took the lions two seasons, bucs 2 after losing Brady, look at the packers now
I get it. I'd like that too but we only have Lance waiting in the wings and no idea what he is.... Look at the giants and skins......they keep trying the rebuild but can't seem to put it together....
