I would fire McCarthy and promote Quinn if we lose on Monday

Listen to Jayron Kearse's comments about Quinn at the 2:33 mark. He called him "heaven sent". I've heard several players speak very highly of Quinn in this fashion. He obviously has a very strong personal connection w/ the players. On the other hand, I've seen Dak struggle describing his relationship w/ McCarthy when asked about it by the media, and I've heard Micah say he doesn't talk w/ McCarthy much. I believe Kearse is the only one who has come out and openly praised McCarthy. Because of this dynamic, I trust Quinn w/ the keys more than McCarthy and wouldn't hesitate to make the switch if we lose on Monday. I don't care that the defense has fallen off late in the season, that has more to do w/ the injuries/personnel. Quinn is a true leader of men, I don't want to see this thing w/out him next season. Thoughts?

I'm not sure I understand all the love for Quinn. This defense hasn't exactly been all world and hasn't been able to stop game winning drives for either of the last two years. Also the last half of this season the have looked downright bad and they still haven't fixed the run-stop issue. What is so great about a coordinator that has Parsons, Lawrence, LVE, Diggs, and a slew of other good if not great players but still can't develop a defense with heart??

MM is establishing a winning culture. A consistent winning culture, mind you and you want to fire him? I don't understand.

If the Cowboys lose to the Bucs Monday Night everything should be on table for next year. Tap the brakes on Quinn as HC. We have seen that episode already.

Better than 50% chance in my book DQ will be next head coach of Cowboys. Just a matter of when

Why should Dan Quinn be promoted with the way his defense has taken a big decline over the 2nd half of the season. And Dan Quinn hasn't been able to come up with anything to fix the issues the defense now has.

Quinn or Moore are the next HC.

Most likely Quinn

MM needs a run

Quinns Defense hasn’t exactly been lighting it up since October. The sacks have stopped. Not sure if he is holding back to help with the run game or waiting till playoffs to bring it.

Gregg, Iggy, and I are hoping they will hire Garrett back. We don't care if he wins, he just looks professional and we like that.

No problem with McCarthy staying on as long as Moore is gone. If Mike calls the plays next year and can't get it done in the playoffs he can go then.

Terrible thread.

Hey maybe the "leader of men" can ask the guy who can't lead what it feels like to hoist a Lombardi as a HC.

i could understand if you disagree with it, but what makes it Terrible ?

What changes or what elements as a HC, would Dan Quinn bring that McCarthy did not bring ?

Wade Phillips also had a good connection with the players
Wade seemed like a Yes man as a HC.
But i never saw the assertiveness and innovation in him as i did with a Parcells, Jimmie.
Funny how Wade has been with 3 different teams as a HC. (Buffalo, Denver, Dallas)

As a HC, you have to be a leader of men that command respects from players.
Know when to ride players and extract discipline, when to drop the hammer and and knowing when to let others lead.
Not be a pat -on- the -back good ole buddy with players.
That was the Barry Switzer approach.

Jerry was not one to fire a HC during the season. but there was such a deep demoralizing team morale here with Wade as HC during the
losing period because we were not even close game competitive, Cowboys management thought the players flat quit on Wade as HC
and competing and fighting.
And when that "quitter' mentality perception is there among an organization,.. you are flat done as a HC.

Ironic how the perception became that Wade is a quick fix DC, but as time goes on, he doesn't evolve and his system gets stale and predictable to
where teams eventually figure him out and Wade does not adjust or resolve problems. That probably is what caused his exit firing with the Rams as DC.

Wasn't it Quinn who blew a 28 point lead to Brady in a SB? No thanks!

If John Belushi (Animal House) was handing out Delta names at initiation, MM's would be.....Flounder. He doesn't seem to have much of a dynamic personality. Except when it came to challenging Dez's CATCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If MM is fired, and DQ leaves for a HC say, in Denver.
Then Jerry will promote Moore to HC, or the new HC will be stuck with Moore.

Moore is to Jerry like Jason was to Jerry. Be careful what you wish for.
Jerry is senile. Prepare for this news.

Did players call Jimmy "heaven sent"? Doubt it. Did we win? Yup. Who cares about who these complacent clowns like or hate? How about we get rid of some of them along with the coaches.

Yeah fire the guy who has actually won a Super Bowl before to hire the guy who was captain of the biggest collapse in Super Bowl history. What an upgrade.
