Payton or stuck with McCarthy. Bring in a new OC and DC coach if Quinn leaves. Moore should be gone either way.

Listen to Jayron Kearse's comments about Quinn at the 2:33 mark. He called him "heaven sent". I've heard several players speak very highly of Quinn in this fashion. He obviously has a very strong personal connection w/ the players. On the other hand, I've seen Dak struggle describing his relationship w/ McCarthy when asked about it by the media, and I've heard Micah say he doesn't talk w/ McCarthy much. I believe Kearse is the only one who has come out and openly praised McCarthy. Because of this dynamic, I trust Quinn w/ the keys more than McCarthy and wouldn't hesitate to make the switch if we lose on Monday. I don't care that the defense has fallen off late in the season, that has more to do w/ the injuries/personnel. Quinn is a true leader of men, I don't want to see this thing w/out him next season. Thoughts?

If he's a true leader of men then explain how the defense has let us down recently? I am no MM fan but Quinn doesn't inspire me either.

Bro Quinn got him playing time and a big pay day - you don’t think he’s indebbted to him for giving a bench player a chance and generational wealth? Sometimes you guys have horse blinders on and don’t even see the full picture.

Should the Cowboys lose to the Bucs, the rational thing to do would be to clean house; get rid of all the coaches and start fresh.
The Giants did just that…and it has made a difference in their play this season; okay, yeah…their record is worse than ours, but they are a much better-coached team than Dallas. They will be tough to beat once they bring in more talent.
Unfortunately for Dallas, Jerry will bring in a coach willing to defer to him, permit him to meddle in player personnel decisions and generally undermine the coach’s authority. What type of coach is Dallas likely to attract? Some burn-out, retread with nothing new to offer: Phillips, Garrett and now McCarthy…what stellar names, and all have done nothing in the postseason.
While I don’t think hiring Quinn or Moore is the answer that will be the most likely scenario. It is not like established no-nonsense coaches (the type of coach Dallas needs) are excited to come here and deal with Jerry’s micro-managing. So prepare yourself for more mediocrity Cowboy fans…

I agree a 1st rounder is tough. What about McVay if he becomes available.
I’d be a big fan of that. I just don’t know how long Payton will come back for. I hate to give up a player that could be on your roster for the next decade for a HC who has already retired once.

Absolutely not, it just rearranging the chairs. If Mike goes, they should all go…..especially KM. Do you really want a defensive HC with Kellen in full control of the offense? :lmao:

If you ask me, McCarthy has done far better with this team than I ever expected after that offseason Jerry had. And before we promote Quinn, let's see what the defense does in this game at least.

I'd like Quinn to first prove he can get his own defensive unit playing much better, before trying to anoint him immediately as new Cowboys HC.

Struggling on grass fields....and Not being used and abused by mere backup QBs, ..

The defense leaves their guts on the field for the guy I'm sure he could spread that to the offense.
so yes hes my choice which means there's no way Jerry would hire him lol
If it wasn't for Quinn we'd be sitting at home and MM would be long gone

Unbelievable
Quinn is no better
His defense has sucked recently
He’s not the answer

If we lose Monday, fire everyone and get Payton/Fangio, you know, real coaches

As long as the Jones family owns the team, the coach doesnt matter. Nobody can overcome their rotten culture.

You mean the great defense that just gave up 26 to a rookie 4th rd pick? That guy?

McCarthy should be fired if they lose for sure, however what if it's the defense that looks horrible and is the reason they lost? It's good players say nice things about him but if they don't perform who cares.
Kind of like Garrett taking over for Wade then.

No I mean the head coach that brought the entire team out as flat as a tire. Who rescued the team the 1st half of the season?
I'll answer like I said we wouldn't be here.

I don’t care that “we are here” if we don’t make noise

Quinn defense has been bad in the second half and I’m not hanging the franchise to that guy

You want to fire McCarthy to promote Quinn who has a defense in a huge decline across the board. Makes sense for this team.

Why? The defense has been terrible as of late. Quinn just hides up in the box during the games.
