I would like to see a new rule come out where a QB can not go through all those hand motions and walk around all over the place pointing and doing whatever else more then 3 times a drive.

If they do it more then 3 times in a drive it is a 5 yard penalty. If the QB does that more then 15 times a game it is a 5 yard penalty every time after the 15th time.

I get so sick and tired of seeing that crap. Just hike fn ball and either hand it off or throw the damn ball instead of trying to make everyone think your the greatest QB that that ever lived.

If the NFL was to do this Manning would be good for at least 8 penalties a game.

All I know is if I was a NFL LB facing him and I keep seeing him it would make me wanna just give him the most violent hit I could give him if I got the chance intead of just tackling him

Agreed,
He gets on my nerves also

The way the rule needs to go is. A QB can do that 3 times a drive. Every time after that it is a False Start and 5 yards.

Every time after the 15th time is a false start every time.

I get so fn tired of seein that crap.

I dont really see what can be done about it from a rules stand point .
Until he is under center I dont think he can get a false start, but one of these days a defense is going to figure out how to take advantage of it and then no more P. Manning the best most brilliant QB ever....

Really if I was some 6'4" 260 lb LB and I got a free shot where I could just unload on the QB I would hit the QB hard or just tackle the QB. But with Manning I would unload on him with everything I had.

What's it going to be then, eh?

I look at it like the line shifts we used to do under Coach Landry.

They serve no real purpose, but I am pretty sure they intimidate/annoy the defense.

I took the line shift as a show of cohesiveness...

So do I. Remember how they used to pop up then get set? There was something hypnotic about that.

I like Peyton Manning, and the Colts. I lived in Indy for a while and enjoyed my time there. But I can see how that is irratating to some. It doesn't really bother me.

however, if this was a Cowboy doing this, oh, yeah, a rule would be put in.
