True, I do think coming off a loss a team tends to focus in more through out the week because they have a sense of backs up against the wall. But sure games are won and loss by preparation and execution

I'm skeptical but I'd be interested in seeing evidence either way. Do teams perform better (perhaps going by point-spread) after a loss than after a win? Beats me. My assumption is "no," but I don't have any particular knowledge one way or the other.

Who said we could only get a win over one of the teams? Sure, if you place that constraint, obviously beating the Eagles is better. But I don't accept your premise that we can only win one (or that losing the first one makes us more likely to win the second one).

You know why? Because I rather us go into the Linc on a nationally televised game to play a undefeated Eagles team who everyone would be picking to win. That would motivate the hell out of our defense after hearing all week about how great Jalen Hurts is and how they are hard to beat. So you combine that with coming off a loss to the Rams and being underdogs against a division rival, there is no way in hell they lose that game. Of course I would love for us to beat the Rams but if they lose and the eagles are still undefeated, I believe it sets up everything for the following week. I would prefer a win over a overhyped division rival instead of a NFC team out of the division to calm the eagles hype down,

I have seen this every year since 1988, players hearing all week in the media......"they have no shot of winning" and then coming out determined and ready

I think seeing talented teams losing back to back is seldom, I think after a loss teams tend to have a bit more urgency and more focus on details through out the week but it is about preparing through out the week getting themselves ready for game day

Of course I'd rather beat the Eagles, but for no other reason than it's a divisional game and that is very important in regards to tiebreakers at the end of the season.

I just think you're diving too deep into the psychological element of inspiration levels after losses/wins, etc. I doubt the Cowboys will need any help with motivation when they play the current best team in their division.

I'm getting old. Being a fan wasn't so complicated last century. People used to just yell their butts off and hoped for wins. Now you must put energy into hoping for losses with zero guarantees thinking negative will benefit the team in the short or long-term. It's exhausting.
