I would not start Dak against Philly

I'd might dress him but I wouldn't start him. If Dak goes in there and he's rusty and throws 2 picks and Dallas gets rolled next week. It won't be good for him.
I would start Cooper Rush until he loses. That will slow down the QB controversy thing that the media is trying to push right now.

I want Dak to succeed and move this team forward. Only he can carry this team to the Super Bowl.

Therefore I agree 100% with your post. Let Cooper take a loss and it will tilt everything positive for Dak and fan's support of Dak. Doing otherwise could sabotage Dak's future (and the Cowboys future).

If Dak comes back and loses his first game: the pressure and noise will be unbearable and could snowball. Just let it play out: Coop will lay an egg.

This is starting to look so much like a sequel of Dak/Romo with shoes on other feet.

I would not start Dak against the Eagles either.

Reason number one, he's not in rhythm with these receivers like Rush is. For now, our offense is running pretty smooth.

Reason number two.... if Rush can manage this offense and beat his first real test against the most complete team he'll face since his first start this year in the Eagles, then I would make him the starter for the rest of the season. Especially if he's able to really contribute in a win against a team like the Eagles. He'd be my starter for the duration.

If Rush struggles, then I would bring Dak back the following game.

You sound as if you want Coop to fail.....which is so wrong. Dak is the QB1, he and we can't hide behind 'pressure' or confidence, you either perform or you dont. The team comes first. If Dak is fit and the FO thinks he'll outperform Coop....he plays.

If he’s ready you play him.

Rush has proven you don’t need to spend the type of money we spend to win games but Dak is clearly a better player. Not by a lot but he’s still better so we might as well play him since they pay him.

If Dak’s fully cleared then send him out there.

I understand (if not agree with it) it's not a case of play Coop so Dak fans can say "I told you he'd fail" scenario on Coop.

Reason 2 is also debatable, if Dak is the better player (yes) you'd play him over Rush if you think he'll get more out of the Offense. Stop with these reasons/excuses....no preparation, no chemistry.

If Dak is fit he plays, none of this holding back for an easier game, which appears to be the position of some Dak fans (though they wont openly admit it).

Some fan's are readily criticizing Rush's 10/16 and under performing Offense.... so a fit Dak is an improvement, so play him.

Most of these top 20 QBs aren't robots. They have vulnerability, emotions, and can be lifted or torpedoed by the fanbase and media narratives.

One or two NFL QBs might be androids but don't think we have one in Dallas.

Send Dak in after the next loss.

One thing is for sure. We don't need to be throwing 40 times a game and tiring out our defense. If that can't be done, rush needs to stay the starter.

That sounds like you're protecting Dak (and potentially sacrificing the Eagles game).

This is the problem with certain sections of the fanbase who are readily criticising Rush and the limited Offense as a way of supporting Dak.... but now saying, we can't play Dak because (excuse A, B C.
If Dak's fit and we think he'll out perform Rush he should play ...its the Eagles.

If not support Rush and the team rather than criticise him as most of us will do when Dak returns vrs Lions

If he’s healthy and ready to go, you definitely start Prescott. Not doing so he’s almost wanting to lose

Cooper Rush has been figured out already. Enough tape on him this year. The Rams figured him out and held him to a measly 102 passing yards. You can bet opposing teams will be doing the same. You would rather have Cooper Rush and his 102 passing yards through 4 quarters than Dak? That's just ridiculous.
Exactly, they know he can’t throw the ball to the outside. They flood the middle and he’s done

Dak really lit the Bucs up in week 1, didn't he..... Rush has been averaging 22.5 points a game while Dak put 3 on the board in his one start.

But yes, Dak gives the team the best chance to win. Sounds very logical.
I know you don’t really appreciate Prescott like some of us. But he’s our best chance to beat the Eagles, you have to realize this. The only reason why Cooper Rush has been winning is defense and playcalling. If we do the same thing with Prescott in there we put up 21 more points a game. It was a totally different offense of line when Prescott played the Buccaneers. If you don’t understand that point. All I can say is you’re just don’t understand the game. There’s no other explanation. The left guard, was injured on the second play

It has nothing to do with an agenda of protecting Prescott. We make the same exact play calls that we do when rush in on the field. Defense doesn’t have to win the game we can rest players in the fourth quarter we put up 21 more points a game. Now I know that speculation but it’s also a very big possibility. Cooper Rush cannot throw the ball to the outside with any velocity. Defenses know that in the flooding the middle. Have you been watching

I honestly think k no preseason contributed as well. There is no denying Dak looked like garbage and it gives these haters talking points but Rush would have been destroyed as well
McGovern being injured contributes even though I’m not sold on him being the answer

Simple truth about Cooper Rush. I believe it was fourth and five with maybe seven or eight minutes left in the game. We’re up by six. They kick a field goal. If Prescott was in there they go for the touchdown. Or first down

well, that's kind of unfair. Memember last year when Arron Rogers got lit up for about 38-3 aganist the Saints?

It was good after that, and they didn't tar and feather him.

So who plats ves Eagles if Dak's fit or fit enough to throw.
Too many fans criticising Rush to make an argument for Dak and then making excuses for Dak not to play against the Eagles.
There are so many different stances from both sides oc the Dak debate.
For me it's clear, if he's fit he plays, he's our no.1

If not support Rush

I support Rush as the limited backup that he is.

Do you think the Cowboys would have left him unsigned--where any of 32 teams could have signed him for a dime--if he was something truly special.

He plays smart within his limited abilities. But there is a hard ceiling.

"Noodle arm" might be harsh, but there's some truth to the label.

You sound as if you think I'm a Rush fan ?
Nope, I say play Dak as soon as he's fit....what i dislike is fans decrying one of our own players in an attemp to justify playing Dak.
