Roy sucks...if he were paid less, he would have already been cut. The only reason Roy is still a cowboy is his huge contract, and it is an albatross around cowboy management.

I cringe every time Roy has to make a play. I almost wish he was a division rival player, so we could count on beating him any time we wished in the passing game.

You'd think teams wouldn't want to pay a lot of money to guys they would rather cut. But I guess they do, according to you.

"Well, we probably should cut him, but then we wouldn't be able to pay him all of this money he doesn't deserve."

Interesting strategy.

The only problem I have ever had with Roy is that he has always been more concerned with the hard hit than making the tackle.

Don't get me wrong, the threat of one of his punishing hits caused a lot of receivers to drop open looks (by simply feeling his looming presence) but I think that receivers just figured out that all they had to do was catch and side step to get a big play.

If Roy would deliver the hard hit at the right moments, he'd be a lot better. His reputation has been associated with punishment since the beginning... he just needs to shake the 'hard hit on every play' mentality he has going, and just focusing on making the the tackles.

I can't think of how many times I've seen him play a little further off of a receiver or tight end than was needed, and get into that killer stance before trying to make a play for the ball. I don't know why the heck he does that.

If it wasn't for that, I'd be a bigger fan of his.

"Ding" "Ding" "Ding", we have a winner.

I didn't join yet but I would sit back and watch, and Rack and some other guywent toe to toe on who's fault it was on the Moss catches. Everyone blasted Rack for critisizing the untouhable Roy Williams, but as time went on, the guy was absolutely right.

I'm blanking out on his name at the moment but it was the cb's fault more than Roy's. Roy didn't help the situation but it wasn't all his fault.

Aaron Glenn. And the head coach, and Aaron Glenn, and Roy all agreed with you at the time.

Yeah that's him. Gracias

Some Commander fan had a sig pic of the second Moss TD from that game where Glenn went for the pic and ended up with air, instead. It was literally a matter of inches. Really good photo. Glenn really was in position to make that play, and he just couldn't make it.

Parcells is right that with evenly-matched teams, the games will come down to one or two plays at critical times.
