I would celebrate naked in the streets if we win the superbowl with Rush. I would buy his jersey. but there is snow flake chance in hell in that would happen. a QB that leads the 22nd or worst ranked offense ain't got a chance.

you see, you are a Bash Dak over Dallas Cult. you are here celebrating every dallas loss with Dak at QB. and p!ss on every win.
you disappear after every Dallas win with Dak as the QB.

therein lies the difference between a Bash Dak over Dallas fan and a cowboys fan.

some of your cult fans have even said. they want to see Dallas lose with Dak as the QB. are you that way too? you have the balls to say that?
naw I'm a Cowboys fan, not a player or coach fan. You probably were backing Garrett up until they got rid of Coach Prescott. Garrett and dak are the same type of guy. shrugs. no differences.

The Eagles game exposed Rush, the 49ers would have done the same.
That might have been the case .... but it's just a theory.

No one gave him a chance in the other games he started yet he got the job done. People can downplay it but his ability to get the ball out to the playmakers quickly takes pressure off the line & allows the guys to make plays.

Is he a top flight QB? Of course not. But neither are 27ish other starting QB's.

7-10, maybe 8-9, and we miss the playoffs. Hopefully some of the teams we will have to face with him are struggling to find themselves like the Bengals/Rams/Rojoskins were struggling when we played them early in the season. When we faced a REAL team we got blown out. But credit to where credit is due, with the help of a strong defense, Rush helped save the season. That's what backups are supposed to do. But to those who think we go to the playoffs with him playing all 17 games, that just shows your ignorant hatred of Dak. If Rush is THAT good, why didn't a team try and get him?

No, it is that he doesn't have a good arm.

If his arm strength were average, he'd be top 5. Dude knows how to play, loaded w/ the IT factor. Simply lacks the physical ability.
That's what I was trying to say. His arm strength is worse than just "not good".

Let's hope not.

But does anyone else think this team is not only built for Dak, but also without him, and almost especially for Cooper Rush? I think it's pretty awesome.

I actually have confident in Rush, and more so now that weapons like Cooks pan out, and even more. If weapons like Schoon end up hitting, Oh my..I suspect Cooper is throwing harder this season. If he worked on anything it was probably agility and arm-strength. That would have been my offseason advice to Rush. He could be a good player. I still think that. Just needs to study guys like Testaverde, Warner, Flutie, day I say, George, even Dilfer, and Romo as a backup.

He's got a lot of those different sorts of traits as a player. That's seems to be the approach Chris Vaughn has taken with Deuce: matching players to study or emulate that match the ability, at least as far as the things you really can do, and I would say really focus on Kurt Warner.. Because of the limited arm thing. But you can actually work on strength. I know a guy who went from playing baseball at Concordia to being one of the best set up players in baseball. But that would be my advise to Cooper Rush.. just study, and be like the great ones, study what they do, but at the end of the day you're still you. Just upgrade your weapons, so-to-speak.

I think Deuece is a good example of why you should listen to the experts advising you. And think he'll be a good inspiration for teammates to see, hey, if Deuece can do it.. I'm going to do it, too. I think our bottom of the roster players were feeling down at when their time came around, and that's tough when you're playing an extension philosophy defense, where players are knowing what the others are doing and playing their role rather than gang tackling.

Anyway, cheers to those guys. That's what the preseason is about.
Cooper is good for a spot start or few.
But no way a long term solution...

Romo said last year and ive heard podcast say this year that Rush's arm strength has consistently gotten better.

Having said that neither has what it takes to win us a superbowl.

The only problem I have with Rush is his arm strength. It's not that he doesn't have a good arm, he has a noticeably weak arm. It's as if he's shooting a basketball with his passes. Even a 10-15 yard out has noticeable arc.

If his arm strength was just normal, he might be a pretty good QB.
There is a reason 32 Teams passed on Cooper Rush as starter. His arm withers after 5 games.....this is not 1980s or 1990s where you have fewer games.

Look at how this strike from Cooper died in the Philly air..

After 5 games? He's always had that arm. And it's not just the picks, he had a couple of outs knocked down because the ball took too long to get there. Those were simply seen as good defensive plays. But had Rush zipped it in there they would have been completed.

Ditto here

- That's why he's a career backup.
I laughed when certain media sources were suggesting Cooper had the making to be an immediate starter for an NFL team in free agency.

- He works hard on his game and he has a great IQ for the position. And as non-popular as the very recent departing coaches were, ( Kellen and Nussmeirer)
Rush did have effective- capable enuff' coaching to help develop and scheme into an effective backup him. En route to a 4-1 record with Dak out.
Between Rush himself and the coach scheme, support plans and personnel cast around him, we found a
way to make the Rush matter happen.

- For someone has physically limited as he is both physically and talent wise, we're only going to get so much out of him, according
to what team we're facing.

- One thing for sure, .. I feel a whole great deal better and more confident about Cooper Rush right now ..than what I felt about him at this very point
before the regular season in '2022

did you say cooper rush? built for cooper rush you said!? the same guy that we cut. went to giants. got cut. came back. got cut and not one team, not a single one wanted him even as a back up. so you think team is built for him.

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/R/RushCo00.htm

Rush got cut and went to the Giants ? When did that happen ?

I know we cut Cooper with the agreed terms that he return to the club if he passed thru waivers.
By what I understood, Cooper has only played for one NFL team during his career - and that's the Cowboys

https://5thdownfantasy.com/news/coo...llas Cowboys released QB,on the 53-man roster.

The Eagles game exposed Rush, the 49ers would have done the same.
The Eagles game exposed Gallup, and our run defense.
Mike McCarthy blew a first down that Lamb earned.
Cooper Rush led the team back to contention before the Eagles simply wore the defense down.
If Rush was exposed over one loss, where does that leave Dak? He's choked away lots of big games that were very winnable with a real quarterback.

If Cooper Rush has to be our starter it'll be like when Dak Prescott is our starter. Not good enough to beat the real contenders because we lack a QB.

I guess we wouldn't have to put up with the annoying sky points. As if God is responsible for his mediocrity.

Rush hater.

I'd rather watch his family celebrating his success. :)

We are screwed. Winning games last year had little to do with him. He’s not good.
LOL, Rush is one of the best BU QBs in the league, you dont like him because your offended by him because you are a sensitive Dak fan...\
Lets be real and go ahead and mark our backup QB because we all know how Dak lovers respect stats.
