If Dak is playable and on the field, he produces

The graph of production proved your chosen stance was wrong. So, with a short average time he was just careless?

Already answered in thread.

Graphic reading is not a strength.
Where? I believe you are a bit confused.

The premise of the thread is If Dak is playable and on the field he produces.

A point was made and question asked regarding Dak's poor play at the beginning of the 2024 season prior to the injury. You first responded that you didn't have to answer questions. It was then pointed out to you that actually you do have some responsibility to defend the stance you took and initiated in public dialog. You responded with some slick talk, some insults and a graphic showing Dak's career stats, which clearly pointed out the drop in production you were originally asked about. The graph of production clearly shows my chosen stance was in fact, correct?

In spite of your claim that Dak will produce if healthy and on the field the evidence you provided shows different.

In summary. Dak's poor performance when healthy was brought up (not by me BTW), you were asked specifically about it and to this point you have refused to address that valid and pertinent point. All you have done is run and hide while tossing insults.

The irony of you insulting me, or anyone about reading comprehension, insulting instead of discussing, making up storylines and denial of reality is off the charts hypocrisy.

Why did Dak stink the joint out prior to his injury in 2024?

Injury throughout the team. Just how well did SF do with a better team and the same degree of injuries?

They are one slot ahead of Dallas in the draft.
Sure but it’s not like the cowboys were decimated by injury since week 1. The results with Dak and Rush were similar in 2024. Not saying that I’d take rush over dak, but I think in general the gap between QBs isn’t what we think it is.

If he is playable and on the field, he produces. While playing, he nor could Romo or anyone turn it all around by being stacked 5 times a game for extended periods. He was MPV runner up when he could scramble a lot, and not limited by injuries.

His protection and the run blocking have to improve.

Another top receiver to push potentials to high production levels requires a producing 2nd receiver. No one on roster looks to step up but just in a member of group level. To push defense back, a cheaper drafted receiver is needed. Not a quiet the crowd noise free agent. Target a receiver with elite speed and plug him into the offense for five years.

Cost effect improves and a reliable game day solution that hits the carpet.

The running back roster is just weak. That talent level needs a true injection that will keep opponent linebackers on their heels. Offense wins games now and so does productive passing. Both offensive tackles have to pass block and this not a convience, further. Here and now or bring back Smith for an only immediate use. He would be a band aide last resort remedy.

No, it's not Dak. They have to be led and accountability still flows from the top. Real problems have to still be solved on the level of the problems. Not name calling and 30 year old calendars.
What a joke

I think it will be fairly early on if we get to see if Dak can produce or not, next season. I don't get why people think that if he was 3-5 before the injury that he is going to be "runner up to MVP" like after coming back from an injury guaranteed to slow him down even more. What was Dak's excuse this season before the injury?
Dak does not need an excuse, his fan boys will create them for him

Actually he's a leader because I'm not with fans think they see from the outside he's a leader because all the coaches that's ever coached with him say he's a leader all his peers his teammates say he's a leader it's what you do at practice and what you do behind the scenes is what you do in a locker room is how you interact with your teammates coaches and your everyday handling of your own business; that would be on and off the field... I mean literally you don't see stories like you would of Ezekiel Elliott off the field stuff even some of the stuff that you know young guys make mistakes it happens but ever since Prescott's been a pro said none of that stuff ever brought up about him partying late at night any videos or pictures insinuating he's smoking weed and drinking all night he's always talked about his mom and his cancer and his loss and how that impacts personal life and it carries over onto the field and look what he's got a brand new child and a new house they're building a life with his future wife this is all you hear about him they're saying this is how he is with his teammates..

These are things you don't get to see or that you don't hear very often because it's happening on the practice field not with cameras on them it's literally in the locker room it's how they are at each others birthday lunch or birthday dinner when they have gatherings at their house they all say he's very professional and he's a leader that's what they say that he doesn't say that about himself we're not in here making this up this is just things we've heard from other people that would know... He seems to be very high character responsible he's empathetic he actually cares may not look like it's you because he took some money you know what that's his business that is the business of sports all these injuries you're talking about it's not 'cause he doesn't workout it's a brutal sport it happens to everyone at some point in their careers unless they're totally lucky gonna have some of these things happen over 10 years major injuries but he works back from them and he usually has a career year right after when he comes back he fights back and he plays well... If he didn't care he could quit he could sit on the sidelines he could not wanna make it back...

You telling this professional football player of eight years that has lots of accolades when it comes to individual stats the rest of it's all about the team teams have to win championships but everything else he's been a model citizen a leader and nothing says he doesn't work hard behind the scenes and you're telling him to suck it up and train more like you know he hasn't dude get over it the whole entire Mavericks team has gotten injured just like ours last year including people who are considered leaders long time veterans are getting hurt it has nothing to do with training or whether they're keeping themselves in shape it is a sport you get hurt and then you make comebacks until you can't do it anymore...

The irony of you sitting here on the Internet judging a man and you have no idea what he does behind the scenes.... You have zero clue on his workout habits his practice and how his teammates feel about him other than what they say and most of them said he's a leader and that he works hard and that he cares i'll take their word over yours,,

Good response and directly to the heart of football. :starspin:

Why do people keep touting 'MVP runner up' as some sort of accomplishment? No one ever remembers second place (except Dakstans, of course). Second place is always forgotten very quickly.

Aaron Rodgers won MVP in 2020, can you tell me who came in second? Nope, and no one cares.
It's not about being remembered, it just means they weren't a scrub. The MVP isn't the only good player. So, stop fooling you're yourself by thinking you made a good point.

No matter what is presented and real facts...this doesn't pass the here and now test due to bias.

Parcells hasn't been presented as without short comings. Get a real grasp and discuss total sum of presented stats and just talk in limbo without taking all that didn't work and blaming Prescott. You misquote what is being quoted and change for insult points presented. Those stand on merit!

Teams can't absorb 13 rookies.

If a team already has 10 picks, they should be looking to dry to improve the positions (try to package two Day 3 picks with your 3rd rounder to get another 2nd rounder...something like that. Or, trade for future picks using the 1 Year = 1 Round method (hey Team X, we'll give you our 4th round pick this year, for your 3rd round pick next year, straight up)

I would have been tempted to take Tyler Warren in rd 1 instead of trading back for higher volume. He's the best receiving threat in the draft, including all TEs and WRs

I like adding to the trenches too... but woulda gone Membou or Simmons to get a blue chip tackle.
Trade up to end up with a pair of 1st round picks and get a very fast WR and strong OT...or LB

Texas receiver Matthew Golden with the 12th overall pick.

Woa Nellie, roll me over in the clover do it again!

Yet, Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox feels like the Cowboys could be “potential suitors” for Philadelphia Eagles guard/tackle Mekhi Becton in free agency.

"Of course, the 25-year-old (26 in April) could be a massive bargain at that price (Spotrac’s $10.2 million salary projection) if he has yet to reach his ceiling. The Cowboys should also have some interest in Becton," Knox wrote. "Longtime Dallas starter Zack Martin recently announced his retirement, and while Dallas has already re-signed Brock Hoffman, Becton would provide a boost at right guard."

Becton was originally selected 11th overall in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the New York Jets. After failing to prove himself as an above-average starter at tackle, the Eagles swooped in and signed Becton to a one-year contract. Instead of having the 6-foot-7, 360-pound athlete play tackle, the Eagles had him try playing right guard. Becton flourished, ranking 21st among 135 guards graded by Pro Football Focus.

One Pro Bowl center signed in free agency...last first. Stephen, are you even live and this season is cap plus. Do something for real. Last season you had the most available unused cap in the NFL.

Fans rooting against Dak....lol!
Rather see him play poorly, even it means, we suck again, just to raise their collar, pull the wedgie outta their butt and strut around like neutered peacock saying, see...Dak sucks!!

Garrett sucked, but I never rooted against him...
Been a long few weeks, reading posts like this make me laugh. Thanks guys.
