when Dak leaves we will see hard times like when Danny White was phased out then started to go down hill, searching for a QB. Even with him, starting this year, we might begin to see it begin to happen due to poor roster decisions along the interior dline.
Somehow miraculously the Cowboys managed to go five and one without Dak with a backup scrub quarterback but the stans want to convince everyone Dallas will be in the wilderness for 10 years lol

Everybody thinks that Dak has all the leverage. Actually what the Cowboys should do is not re-sign Dak. On one hand, if the Cowboys win a SB with Dak this season, Dak's price tag will be so ridiculous that there would be no way they could re-sign him and keep a competitive team around him for future SBs. On the other hand, if Dak doesn't win a SB, then Cowboys fans aren't going to want him back. Either way, the Cowboys should move on regardless of what happens this season.
Cowboys are not winning a SB this year. Wake up!!!

Why would you want to resign a player whose only directive in life is to drive up the QB salaries in the NFL. He's already stated that he's in it to win it for current and future NFL QBs. The Cowboys are going to be better off financially benching him in 2024 and forcing Prescot and his agents to demand a trade. JJ can listen to offers for Prescot and act accordingly.
Delusional

Dak new at that point his defense was useless.
If he "new" (knew) to quit at the beginning then he needs to go. I want a QB with a killer mentality. One that wills the team to victory.

Blaming the defense after one drive is definitely a lower mentality... as a player and as a fan.

100% agree, they never had intentions on resigning Dak. They took their loss on his last contract, he had them over a barrel, they were desperate. They calculated this. Jerry is still pissed about Dak insisting on 4yrs, and the no trade clause.
Sure, that's why GM Jethro has such a solid replacement plan.

No kidding. Why do you think I worded it that way. I get the Sunday Ticket every year and he gets a cut of that. He gets a cut of the money generated if I watch the Colts play the Bears.

And yes. They would have won if they had Mahomes. 100%
BS

The defense quit. Did you watch the game? D never showed up. Dak had a bad start to the game, but he never quit.

He was barely scoring a touchdown…he had 5 touchdowns in all his games played….
don't forget about the fake narrative he stays within the confines of the offense and runs it better.. 2 INTS called back in the Washington game, 107 yards passing and 2 fumbles lost in the rams game he was ghost in that game and the 3 INTs in the Philadelphia game....dudes at best ranked in the mid to late 40s in qbs there's a reason he never was taken off our roster, ever..

Seems to me after this whole great five in one record this man would be a starter in this league or at least a primary backup somewhere else you know teaching some young buck how to do it right..:muttley:

This stud had us in the bottom 10,

I mean the man couldn't even be on an offense that scored seventeen points when he had about everything you can think of go extremely well in all the other phases around him one of the best run games the offensive line the defense the special teams were adding big yardage. The man fell into a wave of great team play and barely help the team win, he watched the games you could have played the Wildcat in games like that and then Prescott comes back and immediately what is the defense do get ran over in the bears game just go Mia start giving up chunk yardage blew leads in the Green Bay and the Jaguars games... I mean the defense just went gone the run game disappeared but yeah let's judge rust differently than Prescott because Prescott can win games you know like that Seattle game last year no way rush is even anywhere near in that game when you got to go toe to toe and put it in the air and not even ask your offense to punt or you might lose because the defense sucks so bad...

Eli Manning was an excellent quarterback when he was in his prime. Number one overall pick. Played with a sense of poise and was tough as nails.

He quit before he took the field. Hence the comment about the thousand yard stare.

"Did you watch the game?"...pfft
If you watched your defense not show up, what look would you have?

Like we did when Romo was no longer the QB? Wait, that didn't happen.

But we had a QB in place who we’d seen could be a playoff caliber QB.

Are you suggesting we have seen our next Franchise QB on this roster ?

You know how Jerry is.

He figures he is paying Prescott a boatload of money so he ought to deliver on his own. Take over games, meanwhile there’s only one or two in the league that can do that and he isn’t one of them….but overrrating and/or misevaluating personnel has been a problem all along. He isn’t good at this, but he owns the team and there are too many people like us out there.

He thinks because he pays someone well/overpays to do something they should, even if they literally aren’t capable.

There are plenty of examples over the years that came from his own mouth.
GM Jethro does not know how to build a complementary team. So he expects a few Superstars to carry his incompetence.
