Jerry and Big Mike already have agreed that in all probability Dalton will be replacing Dak just a matter of correct timing here.
With Dak we were also 16th in red zone TD scoring total and 22 ON THE ROAD.
Dak did not play well vs good teams in 2019. If he plays under the tag, the Cowboys are not bound to him long term.
At what point do you think he would be pulled?
I think that Dalton would get a shot if the Cowboys struggle to a .500 mark after 8 games, or if the Cowboys were to go into a three game losing streak early in the season.
How much leeway do you think McCarthy will give him if he is struggling?
He and PAPPYDOG know no other topic, and collectively may have half a brain. Is this some sort of a troll account? All this guy does is make stupid Dak threads. His last one said Kellen Moore and Dalton were close because they played against each other once almost ten years ago. There is not way this clown really believes the stuff he's posting

STRUGGLES LIKE HE DID IN 2019? Your kidding. He was a shade under 5k yards passing and THATS struggling? OH MY.

Nobody wants to talk about the games where Dak didn’t even show up until the 3rd or 4th quarter which resulted in losses. So yeah, Dalton might be the best option if that occurs again. It's a legitimate question.
If Dak plays like he did in 2019, at some point we have to try someone else.
This is why so many of us lobbied against giving him a long term deal.
I don't know why there are face palms in here and other goofy stuff Rodgers>Favre, Romo>DaK, Montana>Young.Dak did not play well vs good teams in 2019. If he plays under the tag, the Cowboys are not bound to him long term.

YEP, at bare minimum, if we won 2 of those games with better coaching, we make the playoffs, win the division and who knows.
So you’re so committed to Dak , even at rhe expense of losing ? So if he plays bad or mediocre and we are not getting into thr playoff you are not supportive of changing gears ?? What kind of logic is that .? Some of the best coaches in history have successfully benched Starters and won Super Bowls with back ups . Pretty simple .And we know that the coaching staff will listen to us fans. They could give a rats hairy petute what us fans have to say. Dalton is a backup qb and that's all. If Dak gets injured, he's in, if not, he will sit on the sideline like a backup qb is supposed to do. Pretty simple.
Very true . Garrett and the Defense lost some games , Dak’s accuracy Issues and his inability to audible lost us the chance to go to the playoff in at least 3 winnable games .Dak couldn't hit anything against the Eagles, and WRs were wide open against the decimated Eagles secondary all day. I bet Rush wins that game.
That's how close we were to ending the season on a 3 game win streak, winning once with a backup and twice with Dak putting up 40+. How close we were to Garrett coming back.
The dline was the best it had been all year. Woods healthy, plus Bennett.
I think we could have done something. Certainly we were peaking.
When you lose all the games against winning teams except for 1 at home (1-6 overall ) , I Call that a struggle for a Dallas Cowboys QB . Some fans are becoming accustomed to mediocrity .struggled? how....the guy who was
#2 passer!
4th in TD passes!
4th in QBR
I knew your football knowledge was limited...but didn't think it was this bad...
He played poorly against winning teams and went 1-6 . An alarming stat for a QB of the dallas Cowboys .I have no problem turning to Dalton if Dak is holding out, injured, etc. However, Dalton hasn't had a winning record in 5 seasons. Yes not the best talent around him, but clearly the Bengals didn't think he was right QB to right the ship.
Dak isn't getting benched.... Most QBs don't perform as well against good defenses. Dak had a few bad games last year, but only one did he throw multiple Ints. The idea that Dak's play is on the verge of getting him benched when he was desginated with a franchise tag and talking a long term extension over 30 million a season tells you everything you need to know about benching.
Very true . And let’s not forget his debacle against the colts in 2018 , Zero points !!!, with the top OL , RB etc . And there were many more ( Tennessee, rams etc etc )25% of the games last year Dak had 0 TD passes. This is a valid question. But unfortunately Dak will be given every opportunity because of the money he is getting paid along with everyone else blamed before Dak!
Is it true that in the last 2 seasons that mahomes has only played 7 teams with winning records. And is 3-4..
